Favour Ugochi Anosike (born 6 March 1997) popularly known as Ugoccie, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, rapper and voice over artiste. She is known for her hit single "Do You Really Like Me?" The song went viral on TikTok, which earned her the Rookie of the year nomination at The Headies 2022. Early life Favour Ugochi Anosike was born on March 6, 1997. She hails from the Eastern part of Nigeria and of Igbo tribe to be precise. The Headies 2022 was the 15th edition of Nigerian music awards The Headies. It held at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, United States on 4 September 2022. Abia State
Abia State ( ig, Ȯha Abia) is a state in the South-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria, it is bordered to the north and northeast by the states of Enugu, and Ebonyi, Imo State to the west, Cross River State to the east, Akwa Ibom State to the southeast, and Rivers State to the south. Afrobeats
Afrobeats (not to be confused with Afrobeat or Afroswing), or Afro-pop or Afro-fusion (or Afropop or Afrofusion), is an umbrella term to describe popular music from West Africa and the diaspora that initially developed in Nigeria, Ghana, and the UK in the 2000s and 2010s. Afrobeats is less of a style per se, and more of a descriptor for the fusion of sounds flowing out of Ghana and Nigeria. Alté (locally pronounced as "uhl-teh"), is a fusion genre of music that combines elements of afrobeats, dancehall, reggae, hip hop, and alternative R&B. The term was coined in the 2010s by Nigerian music group DRB LasGidi, meaning alternative and "individualistic and non-traditional modes of self-expression" through music and fashion. Characteristics Alté fuses a wide array of musical influences from Afrobeats, rap, R&B, soul, dancehall, and others.
