Ugandan Cricket Team In Namibia In 2021–22
The Uganda cricket team toured Namibia in April 2022 to play three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches and two 50-over matches. The venue for all of the matches was the United Ground in Windhoek. The tour was a repeat of Uganda's visit in April 2021, when Namibia swept both the T20I series and the 50-over series. Ahead of the matches against Uganda, the Namibians hosted Ireland Wolves for a three-match Twenty20 series (winning 2–1) and a five-match List A 50-over series (drawn 2–2). Namibia won the first T20I by 8 wickets. In the second game, Namibian captain Gerhard Erasmus scored an unbeaten century and dismissed both Ugandan opening batters, but an unbeaten partnership of 118 runs between Dinesh Nakrani and Riazat Ali Shah lead Uganda to a seven-wicket victory. Gerhard Erasmus
Merwe Gerhard Erasmus (born 11 April 1995) is a Namibian cricketer, and the current captain of the Namibia cricket team. Career Erasmus first played at senior level for Namibia in February 2011, aged 15, against a touring Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) side. He made his international and first-class debut for Namibia against Ireland in September 2011 in the 2011–2013 ICC Intercontinental Cup, and at the age of 16, became the youngest player in the team's history. Stephan Baard
Stephan Julian Baard (born 29 April 1992) is a Namibian cricketer. In November 2016, he won the Player's Player of the Year award at Cricket Namibia's annual awards ceremony. In January 2018, he was named in Namibia's squad for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament. In August 2018, he was named in Namibia's squad for the 2018 Africa T20 Cup. In March 2019, he was named in Namibia's squad for the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament. He was named as one of the six players to watch during the tournament. Namibia finished in the top four places in the tournament, therefore gaining One Day International (ODI) status. Deusdedit Muhumuza (born 30 September 1989) is a Ugandan cricketer. In July 2022, Muhumuza was named as the captain of the Uganda cricket team. Craig Williams (cricketer)
Craig George Williams (born 25 February 1984) is a Namibian cricketer. He also currently runs a cricket shop in Namibia and also works as a quality/quantity surveyor writing reports for insurance companies as well as loss adjusting. He also opened a cricket academy in Windhoek which is also eventually regarded as Namibia's first state of the art indoor training facility. Ruben Trumpelmann
Ruben Trumpelmann (born 1 February 1998) is a South African born-Namibian cricketer, who now plays for the Namibia cricket team. Early life and education Trumpelmann was born in Durban, South Africa to a Namibian-born father and spent his early life in Pretoria. He was educated at Afrikaans Hoer Skool, South Africa. Bernard Scholtz
Bernard Martinus Scholtz (born 3 October 1990) is a Namibian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a slow left-arm bowler. He was born in Keetmanshoop. His brother, Nicolaas, four years his senior, has played first-class cricket since 2004.
