Ugandan Cricket Team In Namibia In 2020–21
The Uganda cricket team toured Namibia in April 2021 to play a three-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series and two 50-over matches. All of the matches were played at the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek. Namibia won the first T20I match on 3 April by seven wickets, with captain Gerhard Erasmus leading the chase with 62 not out from just 36 balls. Two further victories for the hosts on 5 April, the first of which was rain affected, meant the hosts swept the T20I series 3–0. Namibia won the first 50-over match thanks to some powerful batting by JJ Smit and Michael Van Lingen in the second half of their innings, followed by a five-wicket haul for Ruben Trumpelmann which included the first four wickets of the Ugandan chase that had left the visitors on just 9/4. Gerhard Erasmus
Merwe Gerhard Erasmus (born 11 April 1995) is a Namibian cricketer, and the current captain of the Namibia cricket team. Career Erasmus first played at senior level for Namibia in February 2011, aged 15, against a touring Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) side. He made his international and first-class debut for Namibia against Ireland in September 2011 in the 2011–2013 ICC Intercontinental Cup, and at the age of 16, became the youngest player in the team's history. A right-handed batsman, he has played for the Namibia national under-19 cricket team, including captaining the team at the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup qualifiers. Roger Galwanao Mukasa (born 22 August 1989) is a Ugandan international cricketer. He played in the 2006 U-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka. Cosmas Kyewuta
Cosmas Kyewuta (born 28 December 2001) is a Ugandan cricketer. He made his international debut for the Uganda national cricket team in 2021, playing as a right-arm pace bowler. As a teenager, Kyewuta received a gunshot wound in the leg but recovered to play for the Uganda national under-19 cricket team. Bernard Martinus Scholtz (born 3 October 1990) is a Namibian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a slow left-arm bowler. He was born in Keetmanshoop.
