The University of Guadalajara ( es, Universidad de Guadalajara) is a public higher education institution in the Mexican city of Guadalajara. The university has several high schools as well as graduate and undergraduate campuses, which are distributed all over the state of Jalisco, Mexico. It is regarded as the most significant university in the state. Chronologically, based on its foundation, is the second oldest in Mexico, the seventeenth in North America and the fourteenth in Latin America. Since 1994, the university works through a network model to organize its academic activities. This university network is integrated by 15 university centers, the Virtual University System, the High School Education System and the general administrative body of the university. Club Leones Negros de la Universidad de Guadalajara, also known as Leones Negros, Leones Negros UdeG, Universidad de Guadalajara, or UdeG, is a football club that currently plays in the Liga de Expansión MX. CUMEX
The Mexican Consortium of Universities (Spanish: ''Consorcio de Universidades Mexicanas'', CUMEX) is a selective group of Mexican public higher education institutions, recognized by their higher quality standards. Founded in May 2005, CUMEX has established a rigorous selection system. Members must be affiliated with the "umbrella" national association of universities (ANUIES by its acronym in Spanish). However, not all ANUIES members are able to comply with the eligibility criteria established at CUMEX. Zapotlanejo
Zapotlanejo is a town and municipality in the Mexican state of Jalisco. According to the 2020 census, there were 63,634 inhabitants in the municipality. The municipality has a territorial extension of 643.02 km2. Toponymy Zapotlanejo is a hybrid word, half Nahuatl and half Spanish language, Spanish. The Nahuatl word "Sapote" (from Nahuatl tzapotl) is a term for a soft, edible fruit and "tlan" (place). In addition, the name of the municipality includes the Spanish ending indicating locality "ejo." The Preparatoria De Jalisco is a school upper secondary education located in the historic city centre of Guadalajara in Mexico. Foundation In 1720 Pope Clement XI confirmed the creation of an oratorium dictated to Saint Phillip Neri in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, which at the time was part of New Spain and capital of the Nueva Galicia Kingdom.
