Uchuu Eiyuu Monogatari
, called ''Space Hero Tales'' by some English sources, is a Japanese manga series by Takehiko Itō. It was Ito's first serialized manga work, and second published work after his one-shot manga '' Good Morning Althea''. Many of its themes and concepts would be reused by Ito in his later work ''Outlaw Star'', which takes place in the "Towards Star Era" universe, a continuity began in and shared by ''Uchuu Eiyuu Monogatari''. Plot ''Uchuu Eiyuu Monogatari'' follows the story of a young man named Juji Thomas Godoh, the grandson of the legendary Captain Roger Fortune, who dreams of becoming a hero and traveling into space. A transfer student from America, Juji attends the Fixed Star Academy where he meets a religious young woman named Sakumi Shiihara and contemptuous teacher named Kohryu. Space Opera
Space opera is a subgenre of science fiction that emphasizes space warfare, with use of melodramatic, risk-taking space adventures, relationships, and chivalric romance. Set mainly or entirely in outer space, it features technological and social advancements (or lack thereof) in faster-than-light travel, futuristic weapons, and sophisticated technology, on a backdrop of galactic empires and interstellar wars with fictional aliens, often in fictional galaxies. The term has no relation to opera music, but is instead a play on the terms "soap opera", a melodramatic television series, and "horse opera", which was coined during the 1930s to indicate a clichéd and formulaic Western film. is a Japanese anime Television show, television series produced by Sunrise (company), Sunrise and Seinen manga, ''seinen'' manga series written and illustrated by Takehiko Itō. The series takes place in the "Toward Stars Era" universe in which spacecraft are capable of traveling Faster-than-light, faster than the speed of light. The plot follows protagonist List of Outlaw Star characters#Gene Starwind, Gene Starwind and his motley crew of an inherited ship dubbed the ''Outlaw Star'', as they search for a legendary outer space treasure trove called the "Galactic Leyline". AnimeNation was an American business that included RentAnime.com, a discussion forum, anime industry news, and a column called "Ask John." It was previously a retailer of anime and manga products until 2014 and an anime licensing and distribution company under the name AN Entertainment. AnimeNation AnimeNation was founded in 1995 by Gene Field in Clearwater, Florida. After the companies initial success, they opened a retail location.
