Ubaid CK
Ubaid Chono Kadavath (born 5 February 1990), is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Sreenidi Deccan FC in the I-League. Career Ubaid was part of Maharashtra Santhosh Trophy squad for the year 2015. He represented the state of Maharashtra in the National Games that followed too. ONGC During his tenure at ONGC FC, Ubaid was declared as the Best Goalkeeper for the season 2016-17 in the First Ever MDFA Awards. East Bengal After his solid performance for FC Kerala in the Kerala Premier League and Gadhinglaj All India Football Tournament, Ubaid moved to Kolkata side East Bengal in a loan for the 2nd half of 2017–18 I-League. Kuthuparamba
Kuthuparamba is a town and a municipality in the Kannur district, state of Kerala, India. It is about 24 km south east of Kannur and 14 km east of Thalassery. History Kuthuparamba was part of Kottayam dynasty under the reign of Pazhassi Raja in the midievel period. Since the British captured Kuthuparamba area, the area fell under British rule was formed as Kottayam taluk. Thalassery – Coorg road which was made by the British for sending troops to Mysore also plays an important role in the history of Kuthuparamba. 2019 Durand Cup
The 2019 Durand Cup was the 129th edition of the Durand Cup, oldest football tournament in Asia, since the tournament's founding in 1888. 16 teams competed in the tournament. The matches were played across three locations in West Bengal, namely Kolkata, Howrah and Kalyani from 2 August 2019. The final took place at the Salt Lake Stadium on 24 August 2019. Army Green were the defending champions, having defeated NEROCA in the 2016 final, however they did not qualify for the semi-finals having finished last in the group. IFA Shield
The IFA Shield is an annual football competition organized by the Indian Football Association. The IFA is the governing body of football in the state of West Bengal, came into existence in 1893. Named after the association, the IFA Shield tournament was started in the same year. It is the third oldest football tournament in India, after Durand Cup and Trades Cup, and the one of the oldest football competitions in the world. The royal houses of Patiala and Cooch Behar, A.A.
