UZ Class 675
EJ 675 ( cz, Elektrická Jednotka, type 675) is a Bilevel rail car, double-decker electric multiple unit by Škoda Vagonka a subsidiary of Škoda Transportation, operated by the Ukraine, Ukrainian state railways Ukrzaliznytsia. It is a variant of the České dráhy, Czech Railways ČD Class 471, class 471 "City Elefant" adapted for Russian gauge, 1,520 mm gauge railways. History Two electric trains of the 675 EJ series were purchased Southern Railways (Ukraine), Ukrzaliznytsia Southern Railways in preparation for the UEFA Euro 2012 soccer championship for EUR 39.9 million. They were to be the first of a series of between 50 and 60 trains intended to reorganize inter-regional passenger traffic, however no further units were purchased. Power Car
In rail transport, the expression power car may refer to either of two distinct types of rail vehicle: *a vehicle that propels, and commonly also controls, a passenger train, multiple unit or tram, often as the lead vehicle; *a vehicle equipped with machinery for supplying heat or electrical power to other parts of a train.
