Constantin Jude Sports Hall ( ro, Sala Sporturilor „Constantin Jude”) is an indoor arena in Timișoara, formerly known as Olimpia Hall ( ro, Sala Olimpia). 2018–19 Divizia A1 (women's Volleyball)
The 2018–19 Divizia A1 season was the 69th season of the Divizia A1 (women's volleyball), Divizia A1, the highest professional volleyball league in Romania. CSM București (women's volleyball), CSM București was the defending champion. At the end of the season, CSM Volei Alba Blaj, Alba Blaj won their fourth title. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. The receiving team must not let the ball be grounded within their court. 2018–19 CEV Women's Challenge Cup
The 2018–19 CEV Women's Challenge Cup was the 39th edition of the European CEV Women's Challenge Cup, Challenge Cup volleyball club tournament, the former "CEV Cup". Format The tournament is played on a Knockout tournament, knockout format, with 32 teams participating. Initially 24 teams play a qualification round with the 12 winners advancing to the main phase. On 29 June 2018, a drawing of lots in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, determined the team's pairing for each match. Each team plays a home and an away match with result points awarded for each leg (3 points for 3–0 or 3–1 wins, 2 points for 3–2 win, 1 point for 2–3 loss).
