Unione Sportiva Fiorenzuola 1922 Società Sportiva is an Italian association football club from Fiorenzuola d'Arda, Piacenza, Emilia-Romagna. The club currently plays in . History In its history, Fiorenzuola mostly played in amateur and lower professional leagues, except for a brief stint in the 1990s when the club reached Serie C1 and narrowly missed promotion to Serie B, after losing the 1995 promotion playoff final to Pistoiese on penalty shoot-outs. Also in 1995, Fiorenzuola made a great exploit in the Coppa Italia, being defeated 2–1 at home by Inter after having previously eliminated Brescia and Torino. Fiorenzuola d'Arda (; egl, label= Piacentino, Fiurinsöla, or ) is a city and ''comune'' in Italy in the province of Piacenza, part of the Emilia-Romagna region. Its name derives from ''Florentia'' ("prosperous" in Latin). The "d'Arda" portion refers to the River Arda which flows from the Apennines into the valley where Fiorenzuola is situated. Stefano Pioli (; born 20 October 1965) is an Italian football manager and a former footballer who played as a defender. He is the head coach at Serie A club AC Milan, whom he led to the Serie A title in 2022. Playing career Pioli, a native of Parma, started his own playing career for his home city team, Parma. Massimo Ficcadenti (born 6 November 1967 in Fermo) is an Italian football manager and former midfielder. Career Playing Ficcadenti started his playing career with Sambenedettese, where he played from 1985 to 1989. He then signed for Messina, playing for the Sicilian side for a total of three seasons before to join Verona in 1992. At Verona, he also had the opportunity to make his Serie A debut; he stayed with the ''gialloblu'' for a total of five seasons before moving at Torino in 1997. He left Torino for Ravenna in 2000, and retired from active football one year later to become a coach. Alberto Cavasin (born 9 January 1956) is an Italian football manager and former player. Playing career Cavasin, a right back, started his professional career in 1973 for Treviso; he then played for a number of Serie A, B and C clubs, with some success. He retired in 1990.
