The UNAF U-23 Tournament ( ar, دورة اتحاد شمال أفريقيا تحت 23 سنة) is a football (soccer) tournament held between nations who are members of the UNAF association; however, some other teams which are not members are invited. Penalty Shootout (football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. 2010 UNAF U-23 Tournament
The 2010 UNAF U-23 Tournament is an association football tournament open to the Under-23 national teams of UNAF member countries. The tournament took place between 13 December and 18 December 2010 in Morocco with matches held in the cities of El Jadida, Casablanca and Mohammédia. Cameroon was invited to the tournament to replace Tunisia. Algeria won the tournament after beating all three teams and finishing the group stage with 9 points. 2011 UNAF U-23 Tournament
The 2011 UNAF U-23 Tournament is an association football tournament open to the Under-23 national teams of UNAF member countries. The tournament took the newly constructed Stade de Tanger in Tangier, Morocco. Of the five UNAF member countries, Libya and Tunisia chose not to participate in the competition . Instead, Niger, Saudi Arabia and Qatar were invited to the tournament. However, just days prior to the start of the competition, Egypt and Qatar withdrew from the competition.Tournoi de l'UNAF : Le Qatar et l’Egypte se retirent
