UK Space Conference
The UK Space Conference is an biennial conference devoted to space, held in the United Kingdom. The conference hosts the annual Sir Arthur Clarke Award prizegiving dinner in its conference years. History The UK Space Conference evolved out of the British Rocket Oral History Programme (BROHP) annual conference which had been running since 1998. The rebranding of the conference in 2007 signalled a broadening of its remit. The 2008 event included parallel sessions on Education, Research, Engineering and Astronomy as well as History. Until 2010, the conference was held at Charterhouse School in Surrey in March each year. Beginning in 2011, the conference has been held every two years. The 2011 event was held at the University of Warwick in Coventry on 4 and 5 July. The 2013 conference was held at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow on 16 and 17 July. Manchester Central Convention Complex
Manchester Central Convention Complex (commonly known as Manchester Central or GMEX (Greater Manchester Exhibition Centre)) is an exhibition and conference centre converted from the former Manchester Central railway station in Manchester, England. The building has a distinctive arched roof with a 64-metre span – the second-largest railway station roof span in the United Kingdom, and was granted Grade II* listed building status in 1963. After 89 years as a railway terminus, it closed to passengers in May 1969. It was renovated as an exhibition centre formerly known as the G-Mex Centre in 1982 and was Manchester's primary music concert venue until the construction of the Manchester Arena. Major Timothy Nigel Peake (born 7 April 1972) is a British Army Air Corps officer, European Space Agency astronaut and a former International Space Station (ISS) crew member. International Convention Centre Wales
The International Convention Centre Wales (ICC Wales) ( cy, Canolfan Gynadledda Rhyngwladol Cymru) is a 5,000-capacity venue in the city of Newport, South Wales. The venue has a main auditorium with fixed seating for 1,500 delegates, six rooms of exhibition space, and of pillar-free space. ICC Wales is located on the Celtic Manor Resort site which hosted the 2010 Ryder Cup and 2014 NATO summit. The SEC Centre (originally known as the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre until 2017) is Scotland's largest exhibition centre, located in Glasgow, Scotland. It is one of the three main venues within the Scottish Event Campus.
