UER Pineda De Mar
Unió Esportiva Recreativa Pineda de Mar (in Spanish, ''Unión Deportiva Recreativa Pineda de Mar'') is a basketball club based in Pineda de Mar, Catalonia, Spain. History The club was created in 1952 as a merge of three entities in the municipality (''Club Ciclista'', ''Club de Bàsquet'' and ''Club d'Escacs''), but it was not officially founded until 1954. UER Pineda de Mar played in Primera División from 1971 to 1979, when it was relegated to the Primera B. In these golden years, the club achieved the fourth position in the 1976–77 and played two times the Korać Cup. In 1995, the club came back to the second division, this time called Liga EBA and in 1996 joins the new second division LEB, where it played only two seasons before resigning. Nowadays, it plays in the Regional leagues of Catalonia. Pineda De Mar
Pineda de Mar is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Maresme in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the coast between Calella and Santa Susanna. The main N-II road and a RENFE railway line run through the town. The town centre has several historical buildings from the 17th to the 19th centuries. Four arches survive of a Roman aqueduct over the Pineda river. The Primera División de Baloncesto is the fifth level in the Spanish basketball league system. Current format The Primera División works similar to the Tercera División of Spanish football. It is divided into fourteen groups, corresponding to the Autonomous communities of Spain excepting two of the groups: one that is shared by Basque Country, La Rioja and Navarra. Copa Príncipe De Asturias
The Copa Princesa de Asturias de Baloncesto (English: ''Princess of Asturias' Cup of Basketball'') is an annual 2nd-tier level national cup competition for Spanish professional basketball teams, that is organized by Spain's 2nd-tier level professional league, the Liga Española de Baloncesto (LEB). It was first played in 1987. Since 2009, at the end of the first half of the season, the top two teams from the LEB Oro qualify. The Final is at champions venue.
