UEC European Track Championships – Men's Team Pursuit
The Men's team pursuit at the European Track Championships was first competed in 2010 in Poland. It has formed a part of each championship since. Great Britain, the double Olympic champions, dominated the event in its early years, winning all of the first five occasions the entered. Thereafter, as other nations caught up, Russia (2), Denmark (3), France (3) and latterly Italy shared the other titles. Andy Tennant was ever present in each success of the British team, and as a result is the most successful individual rider in the event, with five gold medals.Thomas Denis of France is the most successful non-British rider, with three gold medals. Michael Mørkøv Christensen (; born 30 April 1985) is a Danish professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He is the brother of racing cyclists Jacob and Jesper Mørkøv. Peter Robert Kennaugh MBE (born 15 June 1989) is a Manx former professional racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2010 and 2019 for and . In 2012 he won the gold medal as part of the Great Britain Team Pursuit team at the 2012 Summer Olympics, becoming the first Manxman in 100 years to win gold. 2011 UEC European Track Championships
The 2011 European Track Championships was the second edition of the elite European Track Championships in track cycling and took place at the Omnisport Arena in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, between 21 and 23 October. All ten Olympic events, ( sprint, team sprint, keirin, team pursuit and omnium all for both men and women) and the non-Olympic men's madison championship and points races for both genders were held as part of the championships. The Championships were a qualification event for the 2012 Olympic Games. Levi Heimans (born 24 July 1985 in Diemen, North Holland) is a Dutch track cyclist. Heimans represented the Netherlands at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens where he took part in the 4 km team pursuit together with Jens Mouris, Peter Schep and Jeroen Straathof.
