UAAP Season 84 Men's Basketball Tournament
The UAAP Season 84 men's basketball tournament is the basketball event of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines for its 2021–22 school year. This was the first tournament since 2019, the year before the COVID-19 pandemic hit the Philippines. The women's, boys' and girls' basketball tournaments were not held this season, also due to the pandemic. Tournament format The usual UAAP tournament format for tournaments having all eight teams was followed: * Double round eliminations; top four teams advance to the playoffs ** If there is a tie for second or fourth, a one-game playoff will be held * If a team wins all elimination round games: ** #1 seed advance to the finals outright ** #2 seed advance to the second round of the stepladder semifinals with the twice-to-beat advantage; winner advances to the finals ** #3 and #4 seeds advance to the first round of the stepladder semifinals in a one-game playoff; winner advances to the second round * If no team wins all ...

Thomas Anthony "Tab" Baldwin (born 16 May 1958) is an American-New Zealand basketball coach who currently serves as the head of the Gilas Pilipinas Youth national basketball program and head coach for the Ateneo Blue Eagles of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). Baldwin also served as a consultant of Philippine Basketball Association club team TNT Tropang Giga. The UST Growling Tigers are the college athletic teams representing the University of Santo Tomas in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. They hold the most UAAP Overall Championships with 44 Seniors' Overall Championships (out of 73 seasons) and 21 Juniors' Overall Championships (out of 26 seasons). UE Red Warriors refer to the collegiate men's varsity teams of the University of the East. The women's collegiate varsity teams are called the UE Lady Warriors. Michael Ray "Jamike" Jarin is a Filipino basketball coach who is the interim head coach for the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters of the Philippine Basketball Association, PBA. Jeff Napa (born September 19, 1981) is a Filipino professional basketball player and coach. He is the current head coach of the NU Bulldogs in the UAAP and currently serving as an assistant for the NorthPort Batang Pier in the PBA. He previously coached the Letran Knights in the NCAA.
