U.S. Route 77 Business (Waco, Texas)
U.S. Route 77 Business (US 77 Business or US 77-L) is a business loop of US 77 in Waco. The highway is the old alignment of US 77 through the city and was formerly signed as a US 77 & US 81 Business Route, but designated as Loop 491 on October 2, 1970 until it was changed to the current Business US 77 designation on June 21, 1990. The section of highway from Loop 484 to US 84 is a freeway, making it the only business route in Texas that is a freeway. Route description US 77-L begins as LaSalle Avenue in southern Waco. The highway's southern terminus with its parent route is at a traffic circle, along with Circle Drive and Valley Mills Drive. Split Intersection
A split intersection is a rarely built at-grade variant of the diamond interchange. Compared to a conventional four-leg intersection or road crossing, the arterial road is split into separate carriageways by , allowing a queue of left turning vehicles behind a completed turn into the crossroad without any conflict to oncoming traffic. McLane Stadium
McLane Stadium is an American football stadium in Waco, Texas owned and operated by Baylor University. Originally named "Baylor Stadium", the facility's name was changed to "McLane Stadium" in December 2013 to honor Baylor alumnus and business magnate Drayton McLane, Jr., who provided the lead gift in the fundraising campaign for the stadium construction. Baylor's first game at McLane was played August 31, 2014, with the Bears defeating SMU 45–0. Elm Mott is an unincorporated community in McLennan County, Texas, United States. It is located near the intersection of Interstate 35 and Farm to Market Road 308, eight miles north of Waco. Elm Mott is part of the Waco Metropolitan Statistical Area. Geography Elm Mott is located at approximately 31°40'18" North, 97°5'58" West (31.672, 97.099). History The area was settled shortly after the Civil War. The community was known as Geneva until residents applied for a post office in 1872. Interstate 35 (I-35) in Texas is a major north–south Interstate Highway running from Laredo near the Mexican border to the Red River north of Gainesville where it crosses into Oklahoma.
