U.S. Route 67 Business (Poplar Bluff)
Numerous special routes of U.S. Route 67, all business routes, exist. One other route, formerly an alternate route in western Illinois, has since been downgraded to state Route 267. Texas All of the business routes within Texas are maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). U.S. Route 67 has seven current and two former business routes within the state, with two of these located in San Angelo. Along US 67, TxDOT identifies each business route as Business U.S. Highway 67 followed by an alphabetic suffix. Along Texas U.S. routes, the alphabetic suffixes on business route names ascend generally eastward and southward. As US 67 is labeled as a west-to-east route, its initial business loop in Presidio is suffixed with an A. There are gaps in the alphabetic values to allow for future system expansion or for decommissioned routes. The alphabetic naming suffixes are included as small letters on the bottom of route shields. Special Routes
In road transportation in the United States, a special route is a road in a numbered highway system that diverts a specific segment of related traffic away from another road. They are featured in many highway systems; most are found in the Interstate Highway System, United States Numbered Highways, U.S. highway system, and several state highway, state highway systems. Each type of special route possesses generally defined characteristics and has a defined relationship with its parent route. Typically, special routes share a route number with a dominant route, often referred as the "parent" or "mainline", and are given either a descriptor which may be used either before or after the route name, such as alternate route, Alternate or business route, Business, or a letter suffix that is attached to the route number. For example, an alternate route of U.S. Route 1 may be called "Alternate U.S. Route 1", "U.S. Route 1 Alternate", or "U.S. Route 1A". Occasionally, a special route w ...

Contractual requirements limited the plant's distribution range to a radius of Dublin, an area encompassing Stephenville, Tolar, Comanche, and Hico. Dublin was the southern terminus of the Wichita Falls and Southern Railroad, one of the properties of Frank Kell, Joseph A. Kemp, and later Orville Bullington of Wichita Falls. The line was abandoned in 1954. Dublin was the boyhood home of legendary golfer Ben Hogan, who was born on August 13, 1912, at the hospital in nearby Stephenville. Hogan lived in Dublin until 1921, when he and his fami ...
