U.S. 23 Country Music Highway Museum
The U.S. 23 Country Music Highway Museum is a museum in Paintsville, Kentucky dedicated to the country music entertainers who were born or lived near U.S. Route 23 in eastern Kentucky. Entertainers exhibited within the museum include Billy Ray Cyrus, The Judds, Tom T. Hall, Ricky Skaggs, Hylo Brown, Loretta Lynn, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Keith Whitley, Dwight Yoakam, Patty Loveless, Tyler Childers, Sundy Best, and Gary Stewart. Paintsville, Kentucky
Paintsville () is a home rule-class city along Paint Creek in Johnson County, Kentucky, in the United States. It is the seat of its county. The population was 3,459 during the 2010 U.S. Census. History A Paint Lick Station was referred to in military dispatches as early as 1780. The site was named for Indian art painted on the debarked trees near a local salt lick when the first white settlers arrived and was originally part of a tract belonging to George Lewis. Sundy Best
Sundy Best is an American country duo formed by Nick Jamerson and Kris Bentley from Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Their music is a blend of country, Appalachian folk, bluegrass, rock, soul, and R&B. They released their album ''Bring Up the Sun'' in 2014. The duo announced their break-up in March 2018. Since the breakup, Jamerson continued his musical career as a solo artist. In October 2020, the duo announced that they would be reuniting. Origin Sundy Best was formed by two friends since elementary school, Nick Jamerson and Kris Bentley, from Prestonsburg in Eastern Kentucky. Gary Ronnie Stewart (May 28, 1944 – December 16, 2003) was an American musician and songwriter, known for his distinctive vibrato voice and his outlaw country sound influenced by southern rock. Timothy Tyler Childers (born June 21, 1991) is an American singer and songwriter. His music is a mix of neotraditional country, bluegrass, and folk.
