U-Sing
''U-Sing'' is a karaoke-style video game for the Wii published in 2009 by Mindscape and developed by their French division in partnership with Universal Music. Gameplay Gameplay is similar to other karaoke console games currently available, such as SingStar, where the player(s) choose a song from a list of tunes on the disc. The player(s) are then to sing the tune of the song through a Logitech microphone connected to the Wii. The software then measures the player's performance in voice tonality and rhythm and scores the singer according to their accuracy. Features In 2010, players were able to download more of tracks from the Universal Music’s catalogue, as well as tracks from other record labels. Mindscape (company)
Mindscape was a video game developer and publisher. The company was founded by Roger Buoy in October 1983 in Northbrook, Illinois, originally as part of SFN Companies until a management buyout was completed in 1987. Mindscape went public in 1988 and was subsequently acquired in 1990 by The Software Toolworks, eyeing Mindscape's Nintendo license. When Toolworks was acquired by Pearson plc in 1994, Mindscape became the primary identity for the development group. Mindscape was then sold to The Learning Company in 1998 and bought out by Jean-Pierre Nordman in 2001, becoming headquartered in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. Following the poor performance of its products, Mindscape exited the video game industry in August 2011. Culture Club are an English pop band formed in London in 1981. "The Day I Died" is the second single from electronic music artist Just Jack taken from his third studio album ''All Night Cinema''. It was released on 17 August 2009. The song made the Radio 1 A-list, and XFM B-list, before the single was officially released. The song is fairly upbeat but somewhat satirical, as the lyrics illustrate slight, fortunate changes to an otherwise uneventful day-by-day life, implying the protagonist was decidedly unlucky. It took Just Jack three years to complete the song, after he wrote the first verse and a half.
