U.S. Route 31 In Tennessee
U.S. Route 31 (US 31) is a part of the United States Numbered Highway System that runs from Spanish Fort, Alabama, to Mackinaw City, Michigan. In the U.S. state of Tennessee, it runs concurrently with Interstate 65 (I-65) for the first mile northward from the Tennessee state line. There US 31 parallels I-65 to downtown Nashville. At Pulaski US 31 meets the southern terminus of US 31A in Tennessee. US 31 continues due north through Lynnville, Columbia, Spring Hill, Franklin and Brentwood to Nashville. The route splits into US 31E and US 31W in Nashville and go into Kentucky. Route description The first mile of US 31 in Tennessee runs concurrently with I-65. At Exit 1 in Ardmore, it leaves I-65 and begins an unsigned concurrency with State Route 7. Spring Hill is a city in Maury and Williamson counties, Tennessee, located approximately south of Nashville. Spring Hill's population as of 2020 was 50,005. State Route 254 (SR 254) is a west–east state highway in Davidson County, Tennessee. For the majority of its length, it forms part of Old Hickory Boulevard, with the rest known as Bell Road. Route description From its beginning at SR 100, SR 254 forms part of Old Hickory Boulevard. It passes between Percy Warner Park and Edwin Warner Park to enter Forest Hills. This is a predominantly residential area. After it intersects Granny White Pike, Old Hickory Boulevard goes north of Brentwood and then crosses I-65 at exit 74. State Route 441 (SR 441, also known as Moores Lane) is a east–west state highway in Williamson County, Tennessee in the central part of the U.S. state of Tennessee. It travels along the Franklin– Brentwood city line, just south of Nashville. Route description SR 441 begins at an intersection with US 31/ SR 6 (Franklin Road) in Franklin. The highway travels to the east-southeast, along the Franklin– Brentwood city line. Then, it has an approximately segment in Brentwood proper. After that, SR 441 travels along the city line again.
