U.S. ISDE Team
The list of participants in the ISDT/ISDE (International Six Days Enduro) since the beginning event in 1913 that saw US citizens as contestants is divided into four segments; Ambassadors, Trailblazer, Pioneers and Qualified/Selected Participants 1971 and beyond. Ambassadors are men and women who competed in ISDT/ISDE at least 10 times in their career. Trailblazer is one man on a very early motorcycle. Pioneers were on more modern motorcycles. Qualified/Selected riders are 1971 and later participants who rode in AMA qualifiers or were appointed by the AMA based on prior performances. International Six Days Enduro
The International Six Days Enduro (ISDE), formerly known as the International Six Days Trial (ISDT), is the oldest 'off-road' motorcycle event on the FIM Calendar. The ISDT was first held in 1913 at Carlisle, England. It has occurred annually, apart from interruptions due to World War I and World War II, at various locations throughout the world. The early events were a true test of machine, rider skill and reliability. Held on the 'roads' of that era, today most of the routes are truly 'off-road'. Originally titled the International Six Day Trial, in 1981 the FIM decided to update the name to International Six Days Enduro, the name Enduro having been devised by the Americans and popularised by many motorcycle manufacturers also greater reflected the change in the event from a trial to more akin to a rally featuring skills more associated with cross country motocross. Baja 1000
The Baja 1000 is an annual Mexican off-road motorsport race held on the Baja California Peninsula. It is one of the most prestigious off-road races in the world, having attracted competitors from six continents. The race was founded by Ed Pearlman in 1967 and is sanctioned by SCORE International. The race is the final round of a four-race annual series, which also includes the San Felipe 250, the Baja 400 and the Baja 500. The 2017 Baja 1000 marked the 50th anniversary of the race. The Baja 1000 has various types of classes include Trophy trucks, Dirtbikes, Truggys, Side-by-sides, Baja Bugs and Buggies all competing at the same time on the same course. AMA Supercross Championship
The AMA Supercross Championship (commercially known as Monster Energy AMA Supercross) is an American motorcycle racing series. Founded by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) in 1974, the AMA Supercross Championship races are held from January through early May. Supercross is a variant of motocross which involves off-road motorcycles on a constructed dirt track consisting of steep jumps and obstacles; the tracks are usually constructed inside a sports stadium. The AMA Motocross Championship (commercially known as Lucas Oil Pro Motocross) is an American motorcycle racing series. The motocross race series was founded and sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) in 1972. The series is the major outdoor motocross series in the United States and is sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing and managed by MX Sports Pro Racing. Racing stripes, also called Le Mans stripes or rally stripes, were originally applied to racecars to help identify them in the field during races. The term "racing stripe" is also used to refer to diagonal lines painted on watercraft hulls, usually on vessels belonging to a country's coast guard. Racing cars Racing stripes were applied to the Cunningham team's racecars beginning in 1951. Usually two parallel blue stripes running from front to rear in the centre of the white body, they helped spectators identify the cars during races. These evolved from the traditional FIA-registered American racing colours of a white body and blue chassis, which dated from when racing cars had the chassis exposed. Larry Roeseler
Larry Roeseler is an Americans, American professional offroad racing, off-road racer. He is notable for having won the prestigious Baja 1000 desert race a record 13 times, the most of any competitor since the race's inception in 1967. His victories made him one of the most accomplished multi-discipline Desert racing, desert racers in off-road racing history. Roeseler began his racing career on two wheels, racing off-road motorcycles to numerous victories before switching to four wheels. He won the Baja 1000 race ten times on motorcycles then, won the event three more times driving in the SCORE Class 1, open-wheel and trophy truck classes for a record 13 Overall Baja 1000 Wins. He was also a successful motorcycle enduro competitor, winning 10 gold medals in the International Six Days Enduro. Adam Froman
Adam Froman (born December 18, 1987) is a former American football quarterback who played one season with the Spokane Shock of the Arena Football League (AFL). He first enrolled at Santa Rosa Junior College before transferring to the University of Louisville. Froman was also a member of the Atlanta Falcons and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Early years Froman played high school football at Maria Carrillo High School in Santa Rosa, California. He threw for 1,944 yards as a senior and also recorded 20 touchdown passes.
