U.S. Highway 82 In Texas
In the U.S. state of Texas, U.S. Route 82 (US 82) is a U.S. Highway that begins on the New Mexico border and heads east through West Texas and Lubbock to the Arkansas border at Texarkana. Route description New Mexico to Wichita Falls US 82 crosses into Texas from New Mexico at Texas Farm to Market Road 769, turning northeastward toward Plains, where it merges with US 380. US 82 is co-signed with US 380 from Plains to Brownfield, where it joins US 62, and US 380 leaves the route. US 82/62 continues northeastward toward Lubbock. Fannin County, Texas
Fannin County is a county in the far northeast of the U.S. state of Texas, on the border with Oklahoma. As of the 2020 census, its population was 35,662. The county seat is Bonham. The county was named for James Fannin, who commanded the group of Texans killed in the Goliad Massacre during the Texas Revolution. James Bonham (the county seat's namesake) sought Fannin's assistance for the Battle of the Alamo, but Fannin was unable to provide it. The county was created in 1837 and organized the next year. Texarkana is a city in Bowie County, Texas, United States, in the Ark-La-Tex region. Located approximately from Dallas, Texarkana is a twin city with neighboring Texarkana, Arkansas. New Boston, Texas
New Boston is a city in Bowie County, Texas, United States. Boston was named for an early storekeeper in the settlement, W.J. Boston. The coming of the railroads led to the location of two more Bostons. A depot was built about four miles north of Boston and was named New Boston. The original Boston then became Old Boston. The courthouse was moved to Texarkana in the early 1880s but a later election carried to move the courthouse back to the geographic center of the county. This location was between the Bostons. Bells is a city in Grayson County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,392 at the 2010 census, up from 1,190 at the 2000 census. The city lies north of Dallas and is part of the Sherman– Denison Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Bells had its start in the early 1870s when the railroad was extended to that point. Ringgold is an unincorporated community in Montague County, Texas, United States, with an estimated population of 100 people. It is approximately northwest of Montague, the county seat. The town's major industry is cattle ranching. Schools Ringgold has one school, Ringgold Elementary School.
