U.D. Oliveirense (roller Hockey)
União Desportiva Oliveirense is a Roller hockey (Quad), roller hockey club from Oliveira de Azeméis, Portugal. History After the first steps of the section in 1969, the club officially registered in the Portuguese Federation in 1970. In 1987 ended as runners-up of the Portuguese league and achieved their first Portuguese Roller Hockey Cup, Portuguese Cup. In 1997, Oliveirense achieved their first European cup by winning the CERS Cup. In 2010, Oliveirense would start their golden era, by winning two consecutive national cups in 2011 and 2012. The club will also end as runner-up of the CERH European League in the seasons 2015–16 CERH European League, 2015–16 and 2016–17 CERH European League, 2016–17, being defeated by S.L. Benfica (roller hockey), Benfica and Reus Deportiu in both editions. Oliveira de Azeméis () is a city and a municipality located in Porto Metropolitan Area in Portugal. Administratively, the municipality belongs to the District of Aveiro. The Portuguese Roller Hockey First Division ( pt, Campeonato Nacional da Primeira Divisão de Hóquei em Patins or simply ''1ª Divisão''; literally: Roller Hockey First Division National Championship) is the premier roller hockey league in Portugal. It was established in 1939 and Sporting CP were crowned as the first champions. Porto are the record winners with 24 titles. Roller Hockey (Quad)
Roller hockey (in British English), rink hockey (in American English) or quad hockey is a team sport played on roller skates. It is the only quad skate team sport in existence where two teams face-off against one another at the same time. Two teams try to drive a hard ball with their sticks into the opposing teams' goalnet. Each team has five players on the rink at a time, four of whom are skaters and one who is the goalkeeper. The ball can only be put in motion by a stick, not the skate, otherwise a foul will be stated. The game has two 25-minute halves, with 15-minute halftime intermission, plus up to two 5-minute golden goal (a.k.a. "sudden death") periods to settle ties with the clock stopping when the ball becomes dead. If the tie persists, a penalty shootout will determine the winner. CERH European League
The WSE Champions League is an annual club roller hockey competition organised by World Skate Europe - Rink Hockey and contested by teams from the top-ranked European leagues. The current champions are Italian side Trissino, which secured their first title in the competition after beating Portuguese side AD Valongo in the 2022 final four. Reus Deportiu
Reus Deportiu is a Catalan sports club best known for its professional roller hockey team based in Reus, Catalonia, Spain. History CD Reus was founded on 23 November 1909 after the dissolution of Reus Sport Club. On 29 September 1917, the club merged with Club Velocipedista and SC Olímpia becoming the multi-sports club Reus Deportiu. In 1951, Reus Deportiu was restructured into two independent entities: CF Reus Deportiu, entirely dedicated to football, and Reus Deportiu, for the rest of the sections.
