Toko
Toko is a small rural settlement 10 kilometres east of Stratford, New Zealand, at the intersection of East Road ( State Highway 43) and Toko Road. It is located on a railway, the Stratford–Okahukura Line, the western portion of which was operated as a branch line known as the Toko Branch prior to the line's completion. The Toko Stream flows through the area to join the Pātea River. Geography Toko is surrounded by extremely fertile land, being located on the periphery of the Taranaki ringplain and adjacent to the Pātea River. The area is drained by the Toko Stream, and its tributaries the Manawaiwiri and Waiwiri Streams. Once covered in wetlands, since settlement the area has been drained to take advantage of the fertile soils. Dairy farming predominates the surrounding land use, with some sheep and beef farming in the steeper hill country. Esther Toko
Esther Tamaraebi Toko (born 28 March 2000) is a Nigerian Rowing (sport), rower. She won bronze and silver medals at the 2019 African Beach Games and she also qualified to row single sculls at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Career Toko competed in the 2015 World Rowing Championships and the 2019 Rowing at the 2019 African Games, African Games. At the latter event, she competed in four events. She then won a bronze and a silver medal at the 2019 African Beach Games, African Beach Games in Cape Verde in 2019. Toko was then selected to be the first home-based rower to represent Nigeria at the 2020 Summer Olympics. She qualified to compete in the single sculls after coming third in the B-final at the 2019 FISA African Olympic Qualification Regatta in Tunisia. As of February 2020, she was one of thirteen Nigerian athletes who had qualified for the Olympics in Tokyo in eleven different sports. Toko trains at the National Institute for Sports in Lagos. Toko University (TOKO; ) was a private university located in Puzi City, Chiayi County, Taiwan. History The university was founded in 2001. In 2019, the university had only 37.23% of enrollment rate. Swix is a Norwegian manufacturing company of winter sports equipment, headquartered in Lillehammer. Range of products by Swix include ski wax, ski poles and sportswear. The company is owned by the investment company Ferd AS. The company was founded in Sweden in 1946 by Börje Gabrielsson, based on experience with ski wax by Swedish skier Martin Matsbo. Swix was the first producer of modern ski wax, and had a scientific approach to the challenge. Salwa Toko
Salwa Toko (born October 1975) is a diversity and digital literacy activist. She is President of the Conseil National du Numérique (CNNum). Early life and education Toko was born in the 5th arrondissement of Paris. Her mother is of Moroccan and Syrian heritage and her father is from Nigeria and Benin.
