Les Grosses Têtes
Les Grosses Têtes (; ("The Big Heads" or "The Big Brains" in English) is a daily comedy radio programme on the French language RTL radio network. Broadcast since 1 April 1977, the current host since 2014 has been Laurent Ruquier. Presently broadcast from 15:30 to 18:00 in France and Belgium (on Bel RTL) this show has several regular segments. The first quarter of the show is hard-hitting news and the next quarter deals with cultural issues. Then, for the next 30 minutes the host takes phone calls from listeners. Finally, guests are interviewed and joked about (these jokes are called ''gauloises'' on the show). Part of the format is when guests are asked questions sent in by the listeners, the most famous being Mme Leprieur. History In 2000, station managers thought that they could do without the services of their aging top host (''animateur de référence'') and replaced him with Christophe Dechavanne. The rapid loss of listeners showed that the program's success was due as m ...

Les Têtes Brulées
Les Têtes Brulées () are a Cameroonian band known for a pop version of the bikutsi dance music. Their name literally means ''the burnt heads'' in French, but more likely is meant to imply ''mindblown'' or ''hotheads,'' although founder Jean-Marie Ahanda prefers the translation ''"burnt minds".'' About ''Les Têtes Brulées'' first rose to prominence in the 1980s, and quickly became the world's most famous bikutsi band. However, many critics and fans of the genre did not like their aggressively electrified sound, and the band saw some criticism. They became known for their distinctive costumes, shaved heads and brightly painted bodies, which were meant to evoke traditional Beti scarification. The band was formed by Jean-Marie Ahanda, and included the guitarist Zanzibar, who remains well known for innovative attachment of foam rubber to the bridge of his guitar, which made the instrument sound like a traditional balafon. Zanzibar's death in 1988 threatened to end the band' ...

Têtes à Claques
Têtes à claques is a French-language humour website created on 16 August 2006. Over one million short videos are watched per day, making it one of the most popular francophone websites in Quebec (and eventually Canada as a whole). As of December 2017, 290 videos had been created. The most popular of these include ''Le pilote,'' ''Le Willi Waller,'' and ''Halloween.'' The creator, Michel Beaudet, has expressed surprise at the popularity of his site, saying it has reached an audience he never anticipated. In 2010, Mondo Media picked up the English version of Têtes à claques and began broadcasting it under the name TAC. In January 2016, the second version of the English series, now titled Knuckleheads, got its premiere on Adult Swim. It was partly remastered to make jokes understandable for an English-speaking audience (for example, the Prime Minister was made similar to Stephen Harper). The clips are produced by Salambo Productions, a company Beaudet formed in order to ...

Têtes Raides
Têtes Raides is a French folk rock group. Group history The group was founded in Paris during the 1980s. Originally, they played music heavily influenced by the punk movement and depended on electric instruments. Their third album featured Anne-Gaëlle, a classically trained cellist, and marked a turning point in the group's music toward a more acoustic sound. The group's later efforts misleadingly take on the air of quotidian folk songs while actually using stunning musical arrangements, experimental soundscapes and poetic lyrics rife with very dark humor. Listeners find the influence of classic French musicians like Jacques Brel, Georges Brassens and the Négresses Vertes in the later work. Group members * Christian Olivier : Voice, accordion, acoustic guitar, graphics * Grégoire Simon (a.k.a. "Iso") : Saxophone, flute, accordion, voice * Pascal Olivier (a.k.a. "Cali") : Bass guitar, double bass, Hélicon, tuba, voice (Christian's brother) * Anne-Gaëlle Bisquay : Cello, ...
