Tyrell Biggs
Tyrell Biggs (born December 22, 1960) is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1984 to 1998, and challenged once for the undisputed heavyweight title in 1987. As an amateur he won a gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics, having previously won bronze at the 1983 Pan American Games and gold at the 1982 World Championships, all in the super heavyweight division. Early life Biggs was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, making his sporting debut playing basketball at West Philadelphia High. He was a starting forward for the Speedboys' Public League and City champions in 1978, a team that extended a state-record winning streak to 68 before a regular season loss to Overbrook. West Philadelphia High School is a secondary school located in the West Philadelphia section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the intersection of 49th Street and Chestnut Street. Mike Ronay Evans (born April 5, 1959) is an American former professional boxer. In his 50 bouts he won 38 (27 ko's), lost 11 and had one draw. Tyrell Biggs scored a 6-round unanimous decision over Evans on November 15, 1984 at Madison Square Garden in New York City in his first bout. His 1993 fight with Michael Moorer in Reno resulted in a 10-round loss, televised on HBO. Francesco Damiani (born 4 October 1958) is an Italian former professional boxer who competed from 1985 to 1993. He was the first WBO heavyweight champion, having held the title from 1989 to 1991, as well as the European heavyweight title from 1987 to 1989.
