Tyler Cavanaugh
Tyler Robert Cavanaugh (born February 9, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for Bahçeşehir Koleji of the Turkish Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL). He played college basketball for Wake Forest and George Washington. College career Cavanaugh started his college career at Wake Forest University, where he played two seasons from 2012 to 2014. He transferred to George Washington University for his last two seasons, where he played from 2015 to 2017. He was twice named second-team All-Atlantic 10 Conference and in 2016 won the National Invitation Tournament, earning MVP honors. As a senior, Cavanaugh averaged 18.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Mike James (basketball, Born 1990)
Michael Perry James (born August 18, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for AS Monaco Basket of LNB Pro A and the EuroLeague. He was a high school basketball standout playing for Grant High School in Portland, and played college basketball for Eastern Arizona College and Lamar University. He was the first player in NBA history to go from a two-way contract to a regular contract, all while never being sent down to the NBA G League in the process. Early life and career James was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. While in Portland, he played basketball for Grant High School under coach Tony Broadous. 2016 National Invitation Tournament
The 2016 National Invitation Tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 32 NCAA Division I teams that were not selected to participate in the 2016 NCAA tournament. The annual tournament was played on campus sites for the first three rounds, with the Final Four and championship game being held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The tournament began on Tuesday, March 15 and ended on Thursday, March 31. An experimental rule allowing players six personal fouls instead of five was approved for use in all national postseason tournaments except for the NCAA Tournament. The National Invitational Tournament (NIT) is a men's college basketball tournament operated by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Played at regional sites and traditionally at Madison Square Garden (Final Four) in New York City each March and April, it was founded in 1938 and was originally the most prestigious post-season showcase for college basketball.
