Twists Of Fate
''Korowód'', or ''Twists of Fate'', is a 2007 Polish drama film directed by Jerzy Stuhr. It stars Kamil Mackowiak, Karolina Gorczyca and Katarzyna Maciag. Supporting roles are played by Jan Frycz, Aleksandra Konieczna, Maciej Stuhr and Matylda Baczynska. Plot The film revolves around Bartek Wilkosz, a student keen to exploit the academic system through plagiarism and anxious to grab a buck (or zloty) however he can. After seeing a suspicious man on a train, Bartek follows him across Poland. Once the man's identity is discovered, the lives of several people are altered. Jerzy Stuhr
Jerzy Oskar Stuhr (; born 18 April 1947) is a Polish film and theatre actor. He is one of the most popular, influential and versatile Polish actors. He also works as a screenwriter, film director and drama professor. He served as the Rector of the Ludwik Solski Academy for the Dramatic Arts in Kraków for two terms: from 1990 to 1996 and again from 2002 to 2008. Life and career Stuhr was born in Kraków. His ancestors, Leopold Stuhr and Anna Thill, migrated within Austria-Hungary from Mistelbach to Cracow shortly after their wedding in 1879. Son of noted actor Jan Machulski, Juliusz became notable for his comedies ridiculing the life in communist-ruled Poland of the 1970s and 1980s. Jan Frycz (born 15 May 1954) is a Polish screen and stage actor. He was nominated for six Polish Academy Awards, winning twice for his supporting roles in the films ''Pornografia'' (2003) and ''The Welts'' (2004). Biography Frycz's father was a mining engineer and disliked his interest in acting; he argued that a boy should have a more stable job. Despite his father's wishes, Frycz pursued acting and graduated from the '' AST National Academy of Theatre Arts'' in Kraków in 1978.
