"Turn On Your Radar" is the nineteenth single by Canadian rock band Prism (band), Prism. It was originally released in 1982, as the second single from the band's fifth studio album, ''Small Change (Prism album), Small Change''. It is notably the band's follow up to the hit "Don't Let Him Know", and their second and final single to feature Henry Small (singer), Henry Small as their lead vocalist, after replacing Ron Tabak. Release The song was a commercial disappointment peaking at a poor chart position of 64 in the US. The song gained little airplay on album-oriented rock or adult-contemporary radio formats in the US. Prism (band)
Prism (styled as PRiSM) is a Canadian rock band formed in Vancouver in 1977. They were originally active from 1977 to 1984 and have been active again from 1987 to present. Their classic line-up consisted of lead singer Ron Tabak, guitarist Lindsay Mitchell, keyboardist John Hall, bassist Allen Harlow and drummer Rocket Norton. The band's sound is a mix of album-oriented rock ( AOR) and pop rock and they have released a total of eight studio albums, three compilation albums and one live album. Prism's success has been primarily in Canada where they won the Canadian music industry Juno Award for 'Group of the Year' in 1981, although they also reached the US top 40 charts with 1981's " Don't Let Him Know". ''Small Change'' is the fifth studio album by Canadian rock band Prism, released in December 1981 by Capitol Records. It was the first of two Prism studio albums with lead vocalist Henry Small, who had replaced Ron Tabak after his forced departure and the last studio album to feature guitarist and founding member Lindsay Mitchell. The album is generally regarded as the genesis of the smoother, more adult-oriented sound of the band's later work. The album peaked at No. 53 on the ''Billboard 200''. On release, the album was received favorably by the majority of music critics, although it was criticized for being too commercial.
