Turboweekend
Turboweekend is a Danish synthesizer rock band, formed in 2006 by the three childhood friends Martin Øhlers Petersen, Silas Bjerregaard and Morten Køie. Anders Stig Møller joined the live shows in 2009, and was made official member in 2011 during the recordings of their latest studio album Fault Lines. Early achievements and ''Night Shift'' (2006–2008) Morten, Martin and Silas formed their first band in 8th grade and in the following years played together in several different constellations before forming Turboweekend in late 2005. "Into You" the band's first radio hit, was recorded in early 2006, and Turboweekend played their debut concert in April that year. During 2006 the band became increasingly popular at the Copenhagen hipster parties, and was eventually booked for Roskilde Festival 2007. NorthSide Festival (Denmark)
NorthSide Festival, or simply NorthSide, is a three-day music festival held every year in June in Aarhus, Denmark. It has three stages with rotating artists and several sideshow events and happenings. The first festival commenced in 2010 and since 2011, the festival has been held at Ådalen in Åbyhøj. The 2017 festival was attended by 40,000 people each day. The festival now goes by the name NorthSide to avoid confusion with the Northside Festival in Brooklyn. It is a privately owned festival, owned by Down The Drain Holding, who also owns the Tinderbox music festival in Odense and is shareholder in other music business activities in Denmark. The Danish Music Awards (DMA) is a Danish award show. The show has been arranged by IFPI since 1989, and was originally called ''IFPI-prisen'' ("IFPI-Award") until 1991, when it changed its name to ''Dansk Grammy'' ("Danish Grammy"). Eska Rock
Eska Rock (often stylized as Eska ROCK) is a Polish radio channel broadcast by Grupa Radiowa Time. The station plays mainly modern rock, indie rock and alternative rock, from "classic" rock songs, to the newest "hits". It was the largest rock radio station broadcasting in Poland. Eska Rock started broadcasting in Poznań on 22 November 2004, in Łódź and Warsaw on 5 September 2005 and in Cracow on 20 March 2006. From 2 June 2008 to 1 December 2013, Eska Rock broadcast in 18 Polish cities. Tijs Michiel Verwest (; born 17 January 1969), known professionally as Tiësto ( ), is a Dutch DJ and music producer from Breda. He was voted "the Greatest DJ of All Time" by '' Mix'' magazine in a 2010/2011 poll amongst fans. In 2013, he was voted by '' DJ Mag'' readers as the "best DJ of the last 20 years". Roskilde Festival 2010
The Roskilde Festival is a Danish music festival held annually south of Roskilde. It is one of the largest music festivals in Europe and the largest in the Nordic countries. It was created in 1971 by two high school students and a promoter. In 1972, the festival was taken over by the Roskilde Foundation, which has since run the festival as a non-profit organization for development and support of music, culture and humanism. In 2014, the Roskilde Foundation provided festival participants with the opportunity to nominate and vote upon which organizations should receive funds raised by the festival.
