Tuomo Mannermaa
Tuomo Mannermaa (Oulu, Finland, 29 September 1937 – Espoo, 19 January 2015) was professor emeritus of ecumenical theology at University of Helsinki. He is known especially for his theological criticism of the Leuenberg Concord and his research on the relationship between justification and theosis in the theology of Martin Luther. His initiating and furthering this research caused him to be regarded as the father of "The New Finnish Interpretation of Luther" or "the Finnish School of Tuomo Mannermaa". Finnish School Mannermaa led the development of "The New Finnish Interpretation of Luther" that presents Luther's views on salvation in terms much closer to the Eastern Orthodox doctrine of theosis rather than established interpretations of German Luther scholarship. Tuomo Town
Tuomo Town is the headquarters of Tuomo Clan which is situated in present-day Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria. It lies along the Forcados River, popularly known by the Ijaws as Boloutoru. It is made up of three quarters, viz: Foukonou, Akerebunu and Ekeremobiri. Other towns that are in the same clan with Tuomo are: Bolou-Tebegbe and Bolou-Tamibge which later gave birth to Toru-Tebegbe and Toru-Tamigbe in their present settlement along the creek and Torugbene. Ogbobagbene was the youngest town moved out of Akerebunu in Tuomo to settle in the same creek before Toru-Tebegbe due to fishing. Tuomo Matti Oskari Puumala (born April 3, 1982 in Kaustinen, Finland) is a Finnish politician from the Centre Party. He has been a member of the Finnish Parliament from Vaasa since 2007. Tuomo Iisakki Ruutu (born 16 February 1983) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey forward and current assistant coach with the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League. Ruutu was drafted in the first round, ninth overall, at the 2001 NHL Entry Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks, the team he spent the first four seasons of his National Hockey League (NHL) career with, Ruutu has also played in the NHL for the Carolina Hurricanes and New Jersey Devils, before finishing his career with Davos of the Swiss National League (NL). Tuomo Sakari Ylipulli (3 March 1965 – 23 July 2021) was a Finnish ski jumper. Career Tuomo Ylipulli won a gold medal in the Team large hill competition at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. Tuomo Lassila (born 1965) is a Finnish musician best known as the former drummer, founder member and co-songwriter of the power metal band Stratovarius and currently the drummer and percussionist for the Finnish metal band Conquest. Music career Lassila was one of the original founding members of "Black Water" (early Stratovarius name), the others being bassist John Vihervä and guitarist Staffan Stråhlman. He is credited with coming up with the band's current name after combining the words "Stratocaster" and "Stradivarius". Tuomo Turunen (born 30 August 1987) is a Finnish footballer. He currently represents Kotkan Työväen Palloilijat, playing in Ykkönen the Finnish second division. He plays as a defender or midfielder.
