Tunç Başaran
Tunç Başaran (October 1, 1938 – December 18, 2019) was a Turkish screenwriter, film director, film producer and actor. Biography After attending the Faculty of Literature for a while he left school and started working as a script writer for the director Memduh Ün. He then continued to be the assistant of Memduh Ün for a long time. Meanwhile, he also worked as assistant for such directors as Ömer Lütfi Akad, Halit Refiğ, Atıf Yılmaz, Ertem Göreç. In 1964 he directed his first feature ''Survival''. By 1962, he had directed about 40 films. After 1972, he switched to commercials. He directed ''Don't Let Them Shoot The Kite'' in 1989. Yusuf Kurçenli
Yusuf Kurçenli (1947 – 22 February 2012) was a Turkish film director, producer and screenwriter. Kurçenli was born in Çayeli, Rize Province, Turkey. He studied journalism at Istanbul University. Between 1973 and 1980, he worked as a director and producer at TRT, the Turkish public television. His debut film was ''Ve Recep Ve Zehra Ve Ayşe'' in 1983. He followed that with many long features including the celebrated 1994 film ''Çözülmeler'' that won many awards at film festivals. He also directed ''Baba Evi'' and ''Kurşun Kalem''. His last film was ''Yüreğine Sor''. The Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival ( tr, Antalya Altın Portakal Film Festivali), known for a few years from 2015 as Antalya International Film Festival, is a film festival, held annually since 1963 in Antalya, and is the second most important film festival in Turkey. Ferzan Özpetek (born 3 February 1959) is a Turkish-Italian film director and screenwriter, residing in Italy. Biography Ferzan Özpetek was born in Istanbul in 1959. In 1976, he decided to move to Italy to study Cinema History at Sapienza University of Rome. He completed his education attending art history and costume design classes at the Navona Academy. He also attended director classes at the Silvio D'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Art. After receiving stage experience with Julian Beck's Living Theatre, he moved to the cinema landscape, by working as a director assistant to Massimo Troisi, Maurizio Ponzi, Ricky Tognazzi, Sergio Citti and Francesco Nuti.
