''Tsholofelo'' is the debut studio album by South African hip hop recording artist Cassper Nyovest, released digitally via iTunes on 18 July 2014 and physically released on 31 July 2014 under a distribution deal witAMG Worldmediaowned by Lindsay Jerome Arends, a former & founding member of the R&B group Ashaan. ''Tsholofelo'', which means "hope", is named after his younger sister. Work on the album began as early as 2011 and continued on through 2014. It features guest appearances from HHP, Okmalumkoolkat, Bucie, iFANi, Riky Rick, Bass Mdlongwa, Ntukza, Kyle Deutschmann, Tshego, Anatii, Skales (credited as Young Skalez), KayGizm from Morafe and Prokid. Refiloe Maele Phoolo (born 16 December 1990), professionally known as Cassper Nyovest, is a South African rapper, songwriter, entrepreneur, record producer and amateur boxer. Born and raised in Mahikeng, North West, he is regarded as one of the most successful artists in South Africa. In 2014, he established his own record label, Family Tree Records. Nyovest rose to fame with the release of his debut studio album, ''Tsholofelo'' (2014) which produced the hit singles "Gusheshe" and " Doc Shebeleza". With his success of selling out tickets for his concert, ''Fill Up The Dome'' (2015) which was held at Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg. Doc Shebeleza (song)
Doc Shebeleza is the second official single from Cassper Nyovest's debut LP ''Tsholofelo''. The song is a tribute to South African Kwaito veteran, Doc Shebeleza. It debuted at number 4 on South Africa's official music chart. Before its release, ''Doc Shebeleza'' was teased a couple of times at live performances. It was made available for free downloads and has been downloaded over 200,000 times. The song peaked at number 1 on the 5FM Top 40 chart. The remix for ''Doc Shebeleza'' was released on 3 November 2014. It was produced by Anatii and features a guest verse from rapper Talib Kweli. "Gusheshe" is a song by South African hip hop recording artist Cassper Nyovest, released as the first single from his debut studio album ''Tsholofelo''. It was released on 19 April 2013 and features a guest verse from Okmalumkoolkat. The song was written by Nyovest and Okmalumkoolkat. It was produced by Ganja Beatz with co-production from Nyovest. The artwork, released on April 17, 2013, features a pink 1983 BMW 325i coupé, known commonly as a "gusheshe" in South Africa. ''Refiloe'', which means "we have been given", is Nyovest's first name and is a unisex name in Setswana. Jabulani Tsambo (14 September 1980 – 24 October 2018), better known by his stage name Hip Hop Pantsula, later shortened to HHP, was a South African Motswako rapper (Motswakolista) who performed in several languages, mostly in Setswana.
