Doc Shebeleza is the second official single from Cassper Nyovest's debut LP ''Tsholofelo''. The song is a tribute to South African Kwaito veteran, Doc Shebeleza. It debuted at number 4 on South Africa's official music chart. Before its release, ''Doc Shebeleza'' was teased a couple of times at live performances. It was made available for free downloads and has been downloaded over 200,000 times. The song peaked at number 1 on the 5FM Top 40 chart. The remix for ''Doc Shebeleza'' was released on 3 November 2014. It was produced by Anatii and features a guest verse from rapper Talib Kweli. Composition Production was entirely handled by Fenesse formerly known as Sean Craig Beats. Refiloe Maele Phoolo (born 16 December 1990), professionally known as Cassper Nyovest, is a South African rapper, songwriter, entrepreneur, record producer and amateur boxer. Born and raised in Mahikeng, North West, he is regarded as one of the most successful artists in South Africa. In 2014, he established his own record label, Family Tree Records. Nyovest rose to fame with the release of his debut studio album, ''Tsholofelo'' (2014) which produced the hit singles "Gusheshe" and " Doc Shebeleza". Jabulani Tsambo (14 September 1980 – 24 October 2018), better known by his stage name Hip Hop Pantsula, later shortened to HHP, was a South African Motswako rapper (Motswakolista) who performed in several languages, mostly in Setswana.
