Tse Ying Suet
Tse Ying Suet (, born 9 November 1991) is a Hong Kong badminton player. She competed at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics in the women's doubles event (with Poon Lok Yan). In 2012, she won the women's doubles title at the Japan Open tournament with Poon Lok Yan by beating four Japan pairs consecutively. Tse competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, held in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Partnered with Tang Chun Man, she finished fourth in the mixed doubles, defeated by the Japanese pair Yuta Watanabe and Arisa Higashino in the bronze medal match. Tse and Cheung Ka-long were the flagbearers for the Hong Kong team at the Olympic opening ceremony. Cheung Ka-long
Edgar Cheung Ka-long (; born 10 June 1997) is a Hong Kong left-handed foil fencer, two-time individual Asian champion, two-time Olympian, and 2021 individual Olympic champion. Cheung is the first athlete representing Hong Kong in history to win an Olympic gold medal in fencing and the second to become an Olympic champion. Career Cheung Ka Long was born to parents who both played national league basketball in Hong Kong. He took up fencing in the fourth grade. In 2013, he was named Hong Kong's Most Promising Young Athlete at the Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards. Arisa Higashino
is a Japanese badminton player. She won bronze in the mixed team at the Asian Junior Championships in 2013 and 2014, and competed at the 2014 World Junior Championships, winning two bronzes in the mixed doubles and team event. Higashino won her maiden Super 1000 tournament at the 2018 and 2021 All England Open in the mixed doubles event, partnering with Yuta Watanabe, and also won the bronze medal in the mixed doubles at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Career Higashino was born in Iwamizawa, graduated from the Tomioka Senior High School, and joined the Unisys team in 2015. In March 2021, Higashino and Watanabe won the mixed doubles title in the All England Open. Yuta Watanabe (badminton)
is a Japanese badminton player. He is a member of the Nihon Unisys team, and national team A representative. He is known for his quick and explosive movements with his signature drop shots on court. Watanabe has collected three bronze medals at the World Junior Championships, and also four bronze at the Asian Junior Championships. Watanabe was selected to join the Japanese mixed team compete at the 2017 Sudirman Cup in Gold Coast, Australia, winning a gold medal in the qualification to Gold Coast at the 2017 Asia Mixed Team Championships in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and the team finished in the semi-final round, took the bronze medal. The mixed doubles badminton tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place from 24 to 30 July at the Musashino Forest Sport Plaza at Tokyo. Thirty-two players from 14 nations competed in the event.
