Trần Văn Cung
Trần Văn Cung ( Nghi Lộc, 5 May 1906 – Hanoi, 31 October 1977) was a Vietnamese revolutionary, who was the secretary of the first communist cell in Vietnam. Family Trần Văn Cung was born 5 May 1906 in Kim Khe Trung village, Nghi Lộc District in Nghệ An Province in Annam in 1906. Trần Văn Cung's father is Trần Văn Năng – a confucianist who was jailed by French colonial government for six months. His elder brother is Trần Văn Tăng – a teacher and revolutionist and member of New Revolutionary Party of Vietnam who was also jailed by the French and died in prison. His youngest brother is Trần Văn Quang who is a Colonel General (three-star general) of the People's Army of Vietnam. Trần Văn Cung married Trần Thị Liên. Nha Trang
Nha Trang ( or ; ) is a coastal city and capital of Khánh Hòa Province, on the South Central Coast of Vietnam. Popular Front (France)
The Popular Front (french: Front populaire) was an alliance of French left-wing movements, including the communist French Communist Party (PCF), the socialist French Section of the Workers' International (SFIO) and the progressive Radical-Socialist Republican Party, during the interwar period. Three months after the victory of the Spanish Popular Front, the Popular Front won the May 1936 legislative election, leading to the formation of a government first headed by SFIO leader Léon Blum and exclusively composed of republican and SFIO ministers. Blum's government implemented various social reforms. Lao Bảo Prison
Lao Bao Prison is a prison situated in Lao Bảo, Quảng Trị, 22 km from Khe Sanh, in the village of Duy Tan, commune of TanThanh, district of Hướng Hóa, to the west is the Sepon river, to the east is the high mountain. The prison was constructed in 1908 by the French colonists on an area of about 10ha, completely isolated from the populated areas. The prison was one of the 5 largest prisons in French Indochina at that time. The prison was built for local political prisoners. The prison initially had cell A and cell B, including two blocks of cells made of bamboo, earth walls, 15m long 4m high, 5 meters wide. Communist Party Of Indochina
The Communist Party of Indochina (Vietnamese: ''Đông Dương Cộng sản Đảng'' 1929–1930) is one of three predecessors of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Other two predecessors are the Communist Party of Annam (An Nam cộng sản Đảng, 1929–1930) and the Communist League of Indochina. Hồ Tùng Mậu
Hồ Tùng Mậu (15 June 1896 – 23 July 1951) was a revolutionary activist and politician in Vietnam. He was a member of both the Chinese Communist Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam, a member of the Central Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate. Biography In March 1926, he joined the Chinese Communist Party. After four years, he became a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He was arrested three times by the Chiang Kai-shek government in 1927, 1928 and 1929.
