Trygve Thue
Trygve Thue (21 June 1950 – 14 April 2022) was a Norwegian guitarist and music producer, and an original member of the Norwegian band . He was the brother of the folk singer . Career Thue was born in Bergen and received his first musical accolades with "Freeze on His Back" in the boys choir ''Folkeskolens Guttekor'' in 1958 in Bergen. His background as choir boy often gave him a competitive advantage in polyphonic singing and instrumental harmonies, a result of his many hours in the studio making albums such as Jan Eggum's "En Natt Forbi" and "Bare Nerver" in which he both wrote and sang the voices in the choir. Bergen
Bergen (), historically Bjørgvin, is a city and municipality in Vestland county on the west coast of Norway. , its population is roughly 285,900. Bergen is the second-largest city in Norway. Mads Eriksen (born 15 July 1977) is a Norwegian cartoonist, best known for the comic strips '' M'' and ''Gnom''. Biography Eriksen was born in Malvik. His career in comics began in 2000, when his first comic strip, ''Gnom'', was accepted into ''Smult'', a magazine dedicated to promoting promising Norwegian cartoonists. ''Gnom'' quickly became popular but when Bladkompaniet ceased publication of ''Smult'', Eriksen abandoned ''Gnom'' and began his new series, '' M'' as a guest strip in the monthly magazine ''Pondus''. The initial of Mads, ''M'' is a semi- auto-biographical, surrealistic strip featuring himself and his girlfriend, "Madammen" (English: The Madam). In 2002, ''M'' began daily publication in ''Dagbladet'', initially on a "guest" basis, until the strip became a permanent fixture, causing ''Hägar the Horrible'' to be removed from the newspaper's comics section. Karoline Krüger (born 13 February 1970 in Bergen, Norway) is a Norwegian singer, actress and composer. Career Krüger's first TV appearance was at the age of 11, in a youth show called ''Halvsju''. She got her breakthrough in 1988, first by winning the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix with the song "For vår jord" ("For Our Earth"), still a student at Langhaugen Skole (1986–89). This qualified her for the Eurovision Song Contest 1988 final, held that year in the Irish capital Dublin, where she finished fifth. Later that same year she released her debut CD, ''Fasetter''. Tor Lars Oskar Endresen (born 15 June 1959 in Bergen) is a Norwegian singer and composer. He has entered the Norwegian song selection for the Eurovision Song Contest numerous times, but has only won it once, and represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 1997, where he finished in last place with nul points. Endresen was part of a popular Norwegian TV show in the early 1990s, a show with pop music from the 1950s and 1960s called ''Lollipop'', as a singing bartender. The show went on for 30 episodes, and there were released three albums (English lyrics) with music from the show which sold very well in Norway. A single called "Black Rain" which was released from his album ''Call Me Stranger'' in 1986, was nearly chosen as the themesong for the James Bond film ''The Living Daylights'' in 1987. Sonet Records was a jazz, pop and rock record label operating as an imprint of Universal Music Sweden. It was founded in Sweden in 1956. Sonet Records was established by Sven Lindholm and Gunnar Bergström, who managed the label into the 1980s. Dag Haeggqvist, the owner of Gazell Records, became an executive of the label in 1960, and Sonet eventually acquired Gazell's catalogue. It was distributed by Pickwick Records in North America in the 1960s, where it was involved in releasing some of Bill Haley's latter-day material.
