Truro City Football Club ( kw, Klub Peldroes Truru) is an English football club based in Truro, Cornwall. They currently play in the Southern League, at the seventh tier of the English football league system. They are the highest ranked club from Cornwall. The club had previously played in what was known as the Conference South in 2011, following five promotions in six seasons. They were relegated at the end of the 2012–13 season after going into administration, but returned to that level, now known as the National League South, in 2015, before being relegated back to the Southern League in 2019. They were founding members of the South Western League in 1951 and won the title five times in their history. Lee Leslie Hodges (born 4 September 1973) is an English football player and manager who plays for Plymouth Marjon in the South West Peninsula League. He made four appearances in the Premier League for Tottenham Hotspur and 394 appearances in the Football League for Plymouth Argyle, Wycombe Wanderers, Barnet, Reading and Torquay United. Steven John Thompson (born 12 January 1963) is an English football manager and former player and former manager of Dorchester Town. He played for England at semi-professional level and also played for the RAF and Combined Services sides. Career Thompson joined the Royal Air Force from school and played for Saltash United in the Western League. He progressed to be a Fitness Instructor in the RAF, but continued his football career, joining Bristol City in July 1981 and making his Football League debut the following season. Sean McCarthy (born 12 September 1967) is a Welsh football manager, coach and former professional player who made over 500 appearances in the Football League. McCarthy played primarily as a striker; however, he was also used in defence.
