''truTV's Top Funniest'' (named ''Top 20 Funniest'' for its first season) is an American fast-paced caught-on-tape/hidden camera clip show on truTV, which shows numerous comical clips, most often involving people being injured, similar to that of the deaths in 1000 Ways To Die. It aired weekly on Tuesday's at 9:30pm. It premiered on May 23, 2013. 60 episodes have been aired. Mokean Melvin was the show's narrator for the first two seasons. Charles Thomas "Charlie" Schlatter (born May 1, 1966) is an American actor who has appeared in several films and television series. He is perhaps best known for playing Dr. Jesse Travis, the resident student of Dr. Mark Sloan (played by Dick Van Dyke) on the CBS series '' Diagnosis: Murder''. 1000 Ways To Die
''1000 Ways to Die'' is an American anthology television series that aired on Spike from May 14, 2008 to July 15, 2012, and also aired on Comedy Central during its run. The program recreates unusual supposed deaths, true events, and debunked urban legends, and includes interviews with real medical experts who describe the science behind each death. Up until the end of season one, the final story of each episode showed actual footage of dangerous situations that ''almost'' ended in death, along with interviews of those involved in the situations. A portion of these deaths have been nominated for or have received a Darwin Award.
