Trout River Brewing
Originally called Trout River Brewing, Vermont Beer Makers is a brewery that was originally located in Lyndonville, Vermont, US. It began production in July 1996, and closed in November 2014. In November 2014, the brewery was moved to Springfield, Vermont by its current owners. Beer distribution started again in April 2016. In July 2020, the brewery rebranded Vermont Beer Makers, with Trevor Billings stepping away from the business. Springfield is a town in Windsor County, Vermont, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 9,062. History The land currently recognized as Springfield is the traditional land of the Pennacook and Abenaki people. One of the New Hampshire grants, the township was chartered on August 20, 1761 by Governor Benning Wentworth and awarded to Gideon Lyman and 61 others. Lyndonville is a village in the town of Lyndon, in Caledonia County, Vermont, United States. Lyndonville's population was 1,136 at the 2020 census. It is the closest community to the Lyndon campus of Northern Vermont University. History In 1883, trustees purchased a hand fire engine from Franklin, New Hampshire, to start a fire fighting company. The fire department volunteers named themselves the "Tiger Fire Company No. 1" and appear in parade uniform for photos starting in 1889. Lyndon is a town in Caledonia County, Vermont, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 5,491. Lyndon is the home of Lyndon State College. The town contains one incorporated village, Lyndonville, and four unincorporated villages: Lyndon Corner in the south, Lyndon Center in the center of town on the west side of Lyndonville, Little Egypt in the north, and East Lyndon in the southeast.
