Tronfjell
Tron (sometimes spelled Tronden, Tronfjell, or Trondfjell) is a prominent mountain in Innlandet county, Norway. The tall mountain lies on the border of Alvdal and Tynset municipalities, but the peak lies entirely in Alvdal. The mountain lies just to the northeast of the village of Alvdal and just northwest of the village of Tylldalen. There is a toll road to the summit that is open in the summers. The road was built while installing a broadcasting antenna in the 1960s, being Norway's second highest road. The Indian philosopher Swami Sri Ananda Acharya (1883-1945) lived on the mountain for large periods of his life. Etymology The name ''Tron'' is the finite form of the word ''trond'' ( non, þróndr) which means ' hog' (it is common in Norway to compare the shape of a mountain with an animal). Tylldalen is a village in Tynset Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The village is located in the southern part of the municipality, about south of the village of Tynset. Tylldalen Church is located in the village as well as a small primary school. The river Tysla runs through the village. Alvdal is a municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Østerdalen. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Alvdal. Other villages include Barkald, Plassmoen, and Strømmen. The municipality is located to the south of Tynset, north and west of Rendalen, north of Stor-Elvdal, and east of Folldal. Trondenes
Trondenes is an old parish and former municipality in Troms county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1964. It was located along the western shore of the Vågsfjorden in what is now Harstad Municipality. Trondenes included the majority of the island of Grytøya and part of the eastern coast of the island of Hinnøya as well as some smaller islands. Located just north of the town of Harstad, the village of Trondenes was the administrative centre of the municipality. That village is also the site of the historic Trondenes Church, the northernmost medieval stone church in Norway. Innlandet
Innlandet is a county in Norway. It was created on 1 January 2020 with the merger of the old counties of Oppland and Hedmark (the municipalities of Jevnaker and Lunner were transferred to the neighboring county of Viken on the same date). The new county has an area of , making it the second largest county in Norway after Troms og Finnmark county. The county name translates to "The Inland" which reflects that the county is the only landlocked county in Norway. Kunnskapsforlaget () is a Norwegian publishing company based in Oslo. Kunnskapsforlaget was established in 1975, as a partnership between H. Aschehoug & Co. (W. Nygaard) and Gyldendal Norsk Forlag. There are 291 peaks in Norway with elevations of over above sea level and that have a topographic prominence of more than 10 meters. The following list includes those 186 that have a topographic prominence of 50 meters or more. The topographic isolation refers to the shortest ''horizontal'' distance one would have to travel to find a higher summit. Location of peaks Most of these peaks are in the municipalities of Lom, Skjåk, Luster, and Vågå, connected to the mountain chain that reaches its prominence with Jotunheimen.
