Trond Sevåg Abrahamsen (born 16 July 1960 in Hammerfest) is a Norwegian ice hockey player. The Norway men's national ice hockey team is the national ice hockey team from Norway that participates at the IIHF World Championships. The team is governed by the Norwegian Ice Hockey Association and is coached by Petter Thoresen. History The Norwegian Ice Hockey Association (NIHA) was founded in 1934 and, adopting the international rules and regulations of ice hockey, became a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation in 1935. Poor finances delayed the formation of a national team until 1937, and continued to hamper its development in the years prior to World War II. Gullpucken ( translit. ''the Golden puck'') is awarded by the Norwegian Ice Hockey Federation (NIHF) to the best Norwegian ice hockey player each year. The award is subject to consideration which means it is not necessarily awarded every year. Its inception year was 1959, when Leif Solberg of Furuset became its first recipient. Patrick Thoresen was the last who received the award in 2009. The NIHF also awards the Valemon trophy to the best Norwegian female ice hockey player. Manglerud Star Ishockey
Manglerud Star Ishockey, commonly known as Manglerud Star and abbreviated as MS, is a Norway, Norwegian ice hockey team based in Oslo, Norway. They currently play in the GET-ligaen, after replacing the bankrupt Rosenborg IHK in the summer of 2014. Manglerud Star was founded in 1967 and was promoted to the top division in 1973. The club enjoyed a spell of success in the late 1970s, winning two national championships, to date the club's only trophies.
