Troll-elgen (1927 Film)
''Troll-elgen'' (The Troll Moose or The Magic Moose) is a Norwegian silent film from 1927. It is based on the novels '' Troll-elgen'' and '' Skoggangsmand'' by Mikkjel Fønhus. The film was directed by Walter Fürst, and it stars Tryggve Larssen as Sjur Renna. Censorship The censors felt that a fight scene between Hans and Gunnar in the film, another violent scene, and intertitles reading ''Men slegtningen villde ikke være hjelpsom for ingenting'' 'But the relative didn't want to help with anything', when the sleazy uncle from Oslo tries to have his way with Ingrid, and ''Denne gang skal du være jenta mi enten du vil eller ikke'' 'This time you will be my girl whether you want to or not', when Gunnar forces himself on Ingrid, were too strong for the Norwegian public, and these were cut. Walter Fyrst
Walter Fyrst (né Fürst; 6 July 1901 – 23 February 1993) was a Norwegian filmmaker. He was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), the son of the physician Valentin Fürst and Margarethe Christiane Dedekam. His first film was '' Troll-elgen'' from 1927, based on two novels by Mikkjel Fønhus. Other films were '' Cafe X'' from 1928 and ''Brudekronen'' from 1944. Fyrst made propaganda films for the Nazi regime during the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany. Harald Stormoen
Harald Stormoen (8 September 1872 – 14 November 1937) was a Norwegian actor. Personal life Stormoen was born in Nord-Odal as a son of farmer Marius Stormoen. He was a half-brother of Hans Stormoen, an uncle of Kjell Stormoen and a granduncle of Even Stormoen. By education, Stormoen had the examen artium from 1890 as well as one year at the Norwegian Military Academy. From October 1900 to 1909 he was married to Inga Bjørnson (1871–1952); they had the child Guri Stormoen who became an actress. In July 1909 Harald Stormoen married Alfhild Larsen (1883–1974). Acting career After some years in the United States, where he made his acting debut, Stormoen returned to Norway in 1895 and worked at various theatres. Hauk Erlendssøn Aabel (21 April 1869 – 12 December 1961) was a popular Norwegian comedian and actor in Norwegian and Swedish silent film. Career Aabel made his début on stage on 11 October 1897 at the Christiania Theatre in Oslo, and was a prominent actor in the Norwegian theatre. In 1917, he began appearing in silent films in Sweden. He then returned to Norway in 1927, where he worked in many films, including several after the advent of sound. He made his last film in 1939, aged 72. She was the daughter of the torpedo lieutenant Karl August Kihle (1873–1953) and Helga Josephine (née Johannesdatter, 1876–1959). In films, an intertitle, also known as a title card, is a piece of filmed, printed text edited into the midst of (i.e., ''inter-'') the photographed action at various points. Intertitles used to convey character dialogue are referred to as "dialogue intertitles", and those used to provide related descriptive/narrative material are referred to as "expository intertitles". In modern usage, the terms refer to similar text and logo material inserted at or near the start or end of films and television shows.
