Kurt Von Trojan
Kurt von Trojan (born Vienna, Austria, 1937 22 March 2006) was an Australian journalist and science fiction author. He had also been employed as a psychiatric nurse and a cinema projectionist. He studied at the London Film School and the South Australian School of Art. (1976–1977) Short fiction by von Trojan appeared in magazines including ''Terror Australis''. On 25 January 2006 he was diagnosed with bone and kidney cancer and told he had only a few months to live. On being given the prognosis he is reported to have told his doctors "Oh, I was hoping to squeeze a few more weeks in. A final collection of short stories was published as a memorial by ''Altair Australia''. 'When I Close My Eyes', the last published work by Kurt von Trojan was organized by Robert N Stephenson and proudly funded by the entire speculative fiction community. Václav Trojan
Václav Trojan (24 April 1907, Plzeň – 5 July 1983) was a Czech composer of classical music best known for his film scores. Trojan studied composition at the Prague Conservatory under Jaroslav Křička and Otakar Ostrčil from 1923 to 1927. He continued his studies in the composition masterclasses of Alois Hába, Josef Suk and Vítězslav Novák until 1929. A composer and arranger of dance and jazz music in the 1930s, he was a music director for Radio Prague from 1937 to 1945. After the end of World War II, Trojan composed most frequently for film, stage and radio, and developed a close association with director Jiří Trnka, earning international fame for his music for Trnka's popular animated puppet films. Trojan's music is mostly written in a neo-classical style, and he often drew inspiration from the traditions of Czech folk music. Troyan
Troyan ( bg, Троян ) List of cities and towns in Bulgaria, is a town remembering the name of Roman Emperor Trajan, in Lovech Province in central Bulgaria with population of 21,997 inhabitants, as of December 2009. It is the administrative centre of the homonymous Troyan Municipality. The town is about away from the country capital Sofia. The river of Beli Osam passes through the heart of the town. The 2021 Census indicates that the population of the Trojan was 18,449 inhabitants. The ethnic distribution of the inhabitants (as of 2009) is ethnic Bulgarians (87.29%), with minorities being Roma (1.23%) and Turks (1.03%). The ethnicity for 10,21% of inhabitants is not known.
