Trippin' On Sunshine
"Trippin' on Sunshine" is the debut single by British electronic music duo Pizzaman, consisting of John Reid and Norman Cook, released in 1994 from their only album, ''Pizzamania'' (1995). The "''You, me, all of us, are looking for the key...''" vocal sample in the song is taken from the 1968 single "World of Love" by Canadian R&B/soul band Mandala. And the "''Trippin' on Sunshine''" vocal sample is from "Accapella Sunshine" by Rockers Revenge featuring Donnie Calvin. It peaked at number 33 on the UK Singles Chart, but after the success of the duo's next singles, "Sex on the Streets" and "Happiness", the song was re-released in 1996, this time peaking at number 18. It is their highest-charting single to date. It also reached number two on the UK Dance Chart and number 26 in Scotland. Pizzaman were a British electronic music duo consisting of John Reid (born 17 December 1963) and Norman Cook (born 16 July 1963). Biography Their debut album, "Pizzamania", was released in 1995. The album spawned three singles (with videos directed by Michael Dominic) all of which reached the top forty on the UK Singles Chart. The highest charting of these was "Happiness" (#19), until " Trippin' on Sunshine" performed slightly better (#18) when it was re-released the following year. Despite this success, however, the only follow-up material was the 1996 single "Hello Honky Tonks (Rock Your Body)". " Sex on the Streets" sampled a part of a 1974 sermon by American evangelist Jack van Impe. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. Michael Dominic (born June 18, 1970) is an American filmmaker and photojournalist who grew up in New York City. He is best known for his documentary '' Sunshine Hotel'', which won three awards for best documentary. Early life Dominic was born in Washington D.C., the son of Stephanie and Joseph Dominic. In 1971 his family moved to the Riverdale section of the Bronx, New York. He studied film at School of Visual Arts in New York City from 1990 to 1993. Career Dominic has made several films, most notably the feature-length documentaries ''Sunshine Hotel'' and ''Clean Hands'', and the narrative short "Tulips for Daisy".
