Trilobyte is a video game developer, computer game developer founded in December 1990 by Graeme Devine and Rob Landeros, best known for ''The 7th Guest'' and ''The 11th Hour (computer game), The 11th Hour'' games. The company was reformed in 2010 by co-founder Rob Landeros, with some of its original titles being re-released. History ''The 7th Guest'' ''The 7th Guest'' was one of the first computer games for CD-ROM. Most of the footage for the game was filmed with a United States dollar, US$35,000 budget, Super VHS cameras, and blue butcher paper as a background that would later be removed using chromakey to insert the actors in the game. In the game, the player must move around the map solving puzzles in a style similar to ''Myst''. George Sanger (musician)
George Sanger, also known as "The Fat Man", is an American musician who has composed music for computer and video games, beginning in 1983. Some of his best-known works include ''The 7th Guest'', ''Wing Commander'', ''Hard Nova'', ''Maniac Mansion'' (NES version), '' Loom'', ''Tux Racer'', and ''Zombies Ate My Neighbors''. Sanger leads the band ''Team Fat'', which also includes fellow video game music composers Dave Govett, Joe McDermott and Kevin Weston Phelan. He has also written a novel, ''The Fat Man on Game Audio: Tasty Morsels of Sonic Goodness'', described by him as, "a book about game audio wrapped in a biography wrapped in a philosophy on life." Red Orb Entertainment was a publishing division created by the Broderbund software company to market its video game titles, distinguishing them from its library of edutainment titles, which it marketed to schools. Launched on May 21, 1997, and based in Novato, California, the name comes from the first six letters of "Broderbund," which spell "Red Orb" when reversed. After its parent company Broderbund was acquired by The Learning Company in 1998, Red Orb's brand continued to be used and was supported by the latter's Mindscape division. ''Tender Loving Care'' is an interactive movie originally released on August 12, 1998 by Aftermath Media. It is a psychological thriller starring Michael Esposito, Marie Caldare, Beth Tegarden, and John Hurt as Dr. Turner. It was written and directed by David Wheeler and produced by Rob Landeros, who also designed the interactive features. The game was originally produced with the intention of releasing the game under the Trilobyte label, but Landeros was fired from the company before it was released. ''Tender Loving Care'' was later released under Landeros's new company, Aftermath Media, on CD-ROM, with the option for users to watch the movie as a feature-length film as opposed to interacting with the game.
