Trilateral Commission
The Trilateral Commission is a nongovernmental international organization aimed at fostering closer cooperation between Japan, Western Europe and North America. It was founded in July 1973 principally by American banker and philanthropist David Rockefeller, an internationalist who sought to address the challenges posed by the growing economic and political interdependence between the U.S. and its allies in North America, Western Europe, and Japan. The Trilateral Commission is headed by an executive committee and three regional chairs representing Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region, with headquarters in Paris, Washington, D.C., and Tokyo, respectively. Meetings are held annually at locations that rotate among the three regions; regional and national meetings are held throughout the year. Most gatherings focus on discussing reports and debating strategy to meet the commission's aims. Membership in the Trilateral Commission is highly selective and by invitation only ...

In 1983, these patent offices set up a programme of co-operation in an effort to "improve efficiency of the global patent system".European Patent Office web siteTrilateral cooperation Projects. Consulted on March 19, 2008. History The EPO, JPO and USPTO handle the majority of the world's patent applications. Trilateral (album)
''Trilateral'' is the third studio album from My Ransomed Soul. They released the album on February 24, 2015. Critical reception Awarding the album three stars from ''HM (magazine), HM Magazine'', David Stagg states, "Trilateral has bite", yet "My Ransomed Soul's curse: pantomiming the same dramatic turns most metalcore albums take." Andy Shaw, rating the album an eight out of ten at Cross Rhythms, writes, "My Ransomed Soul are a band that is creatively growing with each album with this set providing a perfect balance between brutality and beauty, anger and a passion for God." Giving the album three and a half stars for ''Substream Magazine'', Eric Spitz describes, "The themes prevalent on the album, in addition to the aggressive melodies and lyrics, complement each other very well, producing a sound that motivates a change of thought to the listeners." Retinoblastoma
Retinoblastoma (Rb) is a rare form of cancer that rapidly develops from the immature cells of a retina, the light-detecting tissue of the eye. It is the most common primary malignant intraocular cancer in children, and it is almost exclusively found in young children. Though most children survive this cancer, they may lose their vision in the affected eye(s) or need to have the eye removed. Almost half of children with retinoblastoma have a hereditary genetic defect associated with retinoblastoma. In other cases, it is caused by a congenital mutation in the chromosome 13 gene 13q14 (retinoblastoma protein). Signs and symptoms Retinoblastoma is universally known as the most intrusive intraocular cancer among children. The chance of survival and preservation of the eye depends fully on the severity. Retinoblastoma is extremely rare as there are only about 200 to 300 cases every year in the United States. Looking at retinoblastoma globally, only 1 in about 15,000 children have ...

North American Leaders' Summit
The North American Leaders' Summit (NALS), called the Three Amigos Summit in the English language popular press and Cumbre de Los Tres Amigos in Spanish, is the trilateral summit between the prime minister of Canada, the president of Mexico, and the president of the United States. The summits were initially held as part of the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP), a continent-level dialogue between the three countries established in 2005, and continued after SPP became inactive in 2009. The most recent North American Leaders' Summit was hosted by Mexican president Andrés Manuel López Obrador on January 10, 2023 in Mexico City. Meetings Until 2009, the summits were held as part of the wider Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America. There are no fixed dates for the summits and in some years a summit has not been held for varying reasons. In 2011, the summit was postponed out of respect for the bereavement of the Mexican government after the ...

Rotational Symmetry
Rotational symmetry, also known as radial symmetry in geometry, is the property a shape has when it looks the same after some rotation by a partial turn. An object's degree of rotational symmetry is the number of distinct orientations in which it looks exactly the same for each rotation. Certain geometric objects are partially symmetrical when rotated at certain angles such as squares rotated 90°, however the only geometric objects that are fully rotationally symmetric at any angle are spheres, circles and other spheroids. Formal treatment Formally the rotational symmetry is symmetry with respect to some or all rotations in ''m''-dimensional Euclidean space. Rotations are direct isometries, i.e., isometries preserving orientation. Therefore, a symmetry group of rotational symmetry is a subgroup of ''E''+(''m'') (see Euclidean group). Symmetry with respect to all rotations about all points implies translational symmetry with respect to all translations, so space is homo ...

Pineal Gland
The pineal gland, conarium, or epiphysis cerebri, is a small endocrine gland in the brain of most vertebrates. The pineal gland produces melatonin, a serotonin-derived hormone which modulates sleep, sleep patterns in both circadian rhythm, circadian and Season, seasonal cycles. The shape of the gland resembles a pine cone, which gives it its name. The pineal gland is located in the epithalamus, near the center of the brain, between the two cerebral hemisphere, hemispheres, tucked in a groove where the two halves of the thalamus join. The pineal gland is one of the neuroendocrinology, neuroendocrine Circumventricular organs, secretory circumventricular organs in which capillaries are mostly Vascular permeability, permeable to solutes in the blood. Nearly all vertebrate species possess a pineal gland. The most important exception is a primitive vertebrate, the hagfish. Even in the hagfish, however, there may be a "pineal equivalent" structure in the dorsal diencephalon. The lanc ...

Trilateration
Trilateration is the use of distances (or "ranges") for determining the unknown position coordinates of a point of interest, often around Earth (geopositioning). When more than three distances are involved, it may be called multilateration, for emphasis. The distances or ranges might be ordinary Euclidean distances (slant ranges) or spherical distances (scaled central angles), as in '' true-range multilateration''; or biased distances (pseudo-ranges), as in ''pseudo-range multilateration''. Trilateration or multilateration should not be confused with ''triangulation'', which uses angles for positioning; and ''direction finding'', which determines the line of sight direction to a target without determining the radial distance. Terminology Multiple, sometimes overlapping and conflicting terms are employed for similar concepts – e.g., ''multilateration'' without modification has been used for aviation systems employing both true-ranges and pseudo-ranges."Multilateration (MLAT) Conc ...
