Triad (band)
Triad were a Swedish rock band that comprised Lasse Lindbom, Niklas Strömstedt and Janne Bark. Triad is most famous for their 1987-1988 Swedish number-one single hit " Tänd ett ljus" ("''Light a Candle''"), one of the Swedish classic songs for the Advent season, just prior to Christmas. The outro includes Christmas and New Year's greetings in different languages. The single topped the Swedish singles chart on 6 January 1988. The song charted at Svensktoppen for eight weeks during the period 20 December 198714 February 1988. It has been subject to many cover versions. The band was formed by three music friends. Janne Bark played the guitar, Lasse Lindbom of the Lasse Lindbom Band was bassist and producer, and guitarist Janne Bark and Niklas Strömstedt played the piano. All three were vocalists. Allsång På Skansen
''Allsång på Skansen'' (''Sing-along at Skansen'') is a Swedish show held at Skansen, Stockholm, every summer on Tuesdays between 8pm and 9pm. The audience is encouraged to sing along with musical guest stars to well-known Swedish and international songs. The show started in 1935 on a small scale; about 50 people in the audience. Today, about 10,000–25,500 people come to each performance. Since 3 August 1979 the show has been broadcast by Sveriges Television. Initially the show had about 300,000 viewers. When Lasse Berghagen took over as host, the ratings increased to about 2 million viewers. In 2003, ''Allsång på Skansen'' was the first SVT programme that was broadcast with 5.1 multichannel sound. In 2007, it became one of the first Swedish live programmes broadcast in high-definition television. Svensktoppen has aired since 1962, except for the years 1982-1985. The last years before the January 2003 change, the programme was strongly dominated by dansband music.
