Trevor Spangenberg
Trevor Matthew Spangenberg (born April 21, 1991) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Birmingham Legion. Career Early career Spangenberg played five years of college soccer at Missouri State University between 2009 and 2013, including a red-shirted year in 2009. While at college, Spangenberg appeared for USL PDL club Laredo Heat in 2010 and Springfield Demize in 2012 and 2013. Chivas USA On March 9, 2014, Spangenberg signed with Major League Soccer club Chivas USA. New England Revolution Following the dissolution of Chivas USA, Spangenberg signed with the New England Revolution ahead of the 2015 season. He was then sent on loan to the Richmond Kickers, a USL team who is partners with MLS club D.C. United. Spangenberg was released by New England at the end of their 2015 season. USL League Two (USL2), formerly the Premier Development League (PDL), is a semi-professional developmental association football, soccer league sponsored by United Soccer Leagues in the United States and Canada, forming part of the United States soccer league system. The league features 113 teams for 2022, split into sixteen regional divisions across four conferences. USL League Two is headquartered in Tampa, Florida. 2019 Birmingham Legion FC Season
The 2019 Birmingham Legion FC season is the club's inaugural season and their first in the USL Championship, the second tier of American soccer. The season covers the period from the founding of the club to the start of the 2020 USL Championship season. 2018 Richmond Kickers Season
The 2018 Richmond Kickers season was the club's 26th season of existence. It was also the club's 11th season playing in the second tier of American soccer, and their seventh straight season in the United Soccer League, since renamed the USL Championship. The Kickers failed to improve on their 2017 campaign, and saw the team failed to qualify for the playoffs for consecutive seasons for the first time in club history. It was the fourth season in the club's history where they failed to qualify for the postseason. The Kickers finished with six wins, their fewest since 1994, and 24 losses, their most ever. The 2017 Puerto Rico FC season was the club's second season and first full season of existence. The club played in the North American Soccer League, the second tier of the American soccer pyramid. Season review On January 23, the team announced the return of five regulars from the 2016 starting XI as well as a young prospect. 2016 Puerto Rico FC Season
The 2016 Puerto Rico FC season was the club's first season of existence. The club played in North American Soccer League, the second tier of the American soccer pyramid, enter only in the Fall season in which they finished 9th. After winning the Copa Luis Villarejo on November 20; Puerto Rico FC qualified for the 2017 CFU Club Championship with matches taking place in the coming-up 2017 season. The USL Championship (USLC) is a professional men's soccer league in the United States that began its inaugural season in 2011. The USL is sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation (U.S. Soccer) as a Division II league since 2017, placing it under Major League Soccer (Division I) in the hierarchy. 2014 Chivas USA Season
The 2014 Chivas USA season was Chivas USA's tenth and final season in Major League Soccer, the top division for soccer in America. Finishing seventh in the Western Conference, it was the club's first season since 2009 that they did not finish in last place in the Western Conference. However, the club failed to qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs for a fifth-consecutive year. Outside of MLS play, Chivas reached the fourth round proper of the U.S. Open Cup, where they fell in penalties to the Carolina RailHawks of the second-division NASL.
