Trent Whiddon
Trent Whiddon is an Australian people, Australian dancer and choreographer, best known for his professional appearances on the BBC One dance series ''Strictly Come Dancing''. Early life Whiddon started dancing at the age of seven. His mother encouraged him and he trained in a wide range of styles including Ballroom, Latin-American, Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Hip Hop. At the age of 15 he represented Australia at the British Sequence Championships, Junior British Championships, reaching the open final. In 2005 he competed as a Latin dancer with partner Peta Murgatroyd. Two years later he joined the cast of ''Burn the Floor''. In his second tour with the show he became lead dancer and later served as Dance Captain and Company Manager. ''Strictly Come Dancing'' (informally known as ''Strictly'') is a British dance contest show in which celebrities partner with professional dancers to compete in mainly ballroom and Latin dance. ''Strictly Come Dancing'' returned for its thirteenth series on BBC One with a launch show on 5 September 2015, with the live shows starting on 25 September 2015. Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman returned to present the launch show and the live shows while Zoe Ball returned to present '' Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two'' on BBC Two. Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood returned as judges for their thirteenth series, along with Darcey Bussell who returned for her fourth series as a judge. The foxtrot is a smooth, progressive dance characterized by long, continuous flowing movements across the dance floor. It is danced to big band (usually vocal) music. Tango is a partner dance and social dance that originated in the 1880s along the Río de la Plata, the natural border between Argentina and Uruguay. Rhumba, also known as ballroom rumba, is a genre of ballroom music and dance that appeared in the East Coast of the United States during the 1930s.
