Tremezzo
Tremezzo is a ''comune'' (or municipality) of some 1,300 people in the Province of Como, in the Italian region Lombardy. It is located on the western shore of Lake Como between Mezzegra to the southwest and Griante to the northeast, and about from Como. Tremezzo, which has an area of , also borders the territory of the following communes: Lenno (south and west of Mezzegra), Menaggio (north of Griante), Grandola ed Uniti (inland from Menaggio) and, on the facing shore of the lake, Bellagio and Lezzeno. As well as the '' capoluogo'' of Tremezzo, the area of the commune includes the ''frazione'' Rogaro, birthplace of the architect Pietro Lingeri. Villa Carlotta
Villa Carlotta is a villa and botanical garden in Tremezzo on Lake Como in Northern Italy. Today the villa is a museum, whose collection includes works by sculptors such as Antonio Canova, Bertel Thorvaldsen, and Giovanni Migliara; painters such as Francesco Hayez; and furniture pieces of previous owners. The villa, whose architect is unknown, was completed in 1745. History Clerici family The Clerici family rose from rural origins in the northern region of Lake Como to become successful silk merchants due to the efforts of Giorgio (1575-1660) and his sons Pietro Antonio (1599-1675), who was made a Marquis, and Carlo (1615-1677) who became owner of numerous palaces in Milan and Brianza. Lake Como

Mezzegra is a former ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Como in the Italian region Lombardy. Since 21 January 2014 it is part of the comune of Tremezzina. Tremezzina
Tremezzina (Comasco: ) is a ''comune'' in the province of Como, in Lombardy, that formed on 25 May 2014 from a merger of the comunes of Lenno, Mezzegra, Ossuccio and Tremezzo. A referendum to create this comune was held on 1 December 2013. The referendum was passed with 63% yes and 37% no votes. Villa Sola-Busca, Tremezzo
The Villa Sola-Busca, also called ''Villa La Quieta'', is a Neoclassical style rural palace outside of the town of Tremezzo, on the shores of Lake Como in the Region of Lombardy, Italy. History The villa was built by the Duchess of Carretto in the 17th-century, and then passed through the Brentano family to Gabrio Serbelloni in 1754, and then to his son, the Duke Giovanni Galeazzo Serbelloni. Under the Serbelloni ownership, the villa and the gardens were enlarged and refurbished in the present style. The architect in 1813 was Francesco Bernardini Ferrari. The central tympanum sports the heraldic symbols of the Serbelloni family. The interiors were stuccoed by Muzio Canzio and painted by Francesco Conegliani. The ceilings have frescoes and canvases with ''Scenes from the Aenid'' by Conegliani. The gardens surround the villa, which stands adjacent to Villa Albertoni. Griante
Griante ( Comasco: ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Como in the Italian region Lombardy, located on the western shore of Lake Como about northeast of Como between Menaggio (to the north) and Tremezzo. Griante also borders the communes of Bellagio and Varenna on the other side of the lake. The commune of Griante itself is situated some 50 metres above lake level, on a wide plateau.
